March 7, 201214 yr Commercial Member I noticed this when I was doing my video recording. Its selectable as one of the runways, but only if you have an aircraft thats water friendly like the Icon. Very cool! I home Alaska is littered with them! Kevin Miller 3D Artist and developer
March 7, 201214 yr Yah.I bumped into it too! Its very familiar to me, since it exists in an FSX payware of that airport as a kind of flickery platform, and I always wondered what it was. I was surprised to see it as a very detailed float-plane base in Flight!. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. I suspect a seaplane may be one of the first dlc aircraft we soon coming next. Don B
March 7, 201214 yr Isn't the Icon a seaplane of sorts? It's amphibious in any case. You can land it anywhere you can land a seaplane.Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

Seaplanes or more commonly called, floatplanes have no landing gear. Also, the LAST place I would take an Icon is the open ocean. That little thing would get torn up in no time, plus that 100HP engine wont do squad in anything but calm water. You would need like a PBY or Goose for open sea operations. Don't think that one will turn up as DLC anytime soon though. Perhaps the Goose for Alaska? (One can always hope). John-Alan Pascoe
