Of course FSX planes are more expensive

Not of course, I don't think..Somebody still has to sit and model the Flight planes in 3dS or similar..I can only really think of three or four FSX addons that are really worth the money they cost (the expensive ones, that is - ones that cost >£25)Also, when they activate stuff like the A/P in thh Maule, it will be better than the FSX one (I know it was free in FSX) I think Flight DLC in a few months time will be every bit as good as FSX addons..Anyway, back to the OT - There are very few flying vehicles that will get that high, purely down to the laws of physics and combustion..It would be possible to acheive a high ballistic speed and bust your rated altitude in certain other fast, high jets other than the A-12/SR-71. A plane capable of .Mach 2 would theorectically be able to graze that height in the right conditions before parabolic arc'ing back down..Also the U-2 and TR-1 (90k) can do it but it'd take a while to get there and it's a beatch to fly (as is the SR-71 as anyone who's flown it in FSX will attest)I still think it wil be a weather balloon though :P

The default aircraft in FLIGHT look as detailled and accurate as the top add-ons I ever had for FS9/FSX, including those from RealAir and A2A!!!!

You are talking only about the looks, I presume? For what they offer the MS Flight planes are about priced right. They cost about half of what a good (!) addon plane for FSX costs and that's good, because they functionality is also about half. I agree about the planes looking nice, but the RV6 doesn't come close to for instance Bay Tower's RV7 for FSX when it comes fo functionality.

Physics-model wise... The default FMs are very convincing, feel ok to me. that' what I am saying :-)

Its normal that they are priced lower than fsx good model as they are not equipped with gps or autopilot and several systems are not operational.Strangly one of the things i miss most is the directional gyro drift. Its so much part of the flying routine to adjust it every 15 minutes that i find it remove some of the immersion.

I can make 3d models. Been learning the past 2 years and it isnt easy. Model,texture,animate,ect. I have respect for it costing money just dont want to have to pay 15.99 for each plane. They are trying to get new people into the game like me then they need to ease on the prices for a bit imo. It can scare people away from the game. Im a casual gamer for the most part and will quit playing the game if everything comes out costing so much. Im broke most the time also lol. If they make it so u can create our own models and fly I will be very happy but just not worth all the money to it. I might have to the more addicted I get to the game though.

I was wondering the same thing for this. I think its a joke on us right now to mess with us but a maybe its a hint that they plan to release a sr-71 sometime. They better. Im looking forward to some big powerful planes. I might even feel like spending money on them as long as its not 15.99 a plane. Still think thats crazy for one plane.

I don't think 15.99 is crazy for one plane.the price of one pizza or a few beers.it can give you hundreds of hours of enjoyment.if you own any addon aircraft for fsx .some are double that price,some triple, some quadruple .also remember so far new planes are included with new dlc areas.so you get new missions and scenery with it.steve-0

The screenshot shows an Icon A5, so I'm guessing they just modified the altitude in a save file, hence why I'd consider it a "hacked save."

People who cheat, tend to not only cheat on games, and in truth , all they do, is cheat themselves.

Exactly. I can anticipate the sense of satisfaction I'll get when I somehow manage to reach that aerocache.I certainly won't feel anything by loading somebody's hacked save-file and having the award appear on the screen.
