March 26, 201214 yr Gents,Thank you for your comments. Some of your concerns are already on the TO DO list. The best place to report the issues is this: http://www.captainsi...?board=737step2The progress speed is probably because of the fact we work day and night to make the 1.0 that will please all fans of the 737 original series :)Dear Captain Sim,The heading bug being assignable to keyboard commands in FSX is not in your (current) list :wink:Doing so would not only mean people being able to use their keyboard to change heading, but also you would be providing immediate ability for users to use hardware controllers (like Go-Flight) with your plane, as these usually rely on the availability of keyboard assignments. ......thus widening your purchasing audience for the product. :( David. >> i7 2600k, 3.4Ghz, (3.8Ghz TurboBoost), 8GB DDR3 RAM, ATI HD 5770 1GB, Win 7 Home Premium 64bit. >> FSX, REX, GEX, UTX, Orbx FTX AU, NZ, US, FlyTampa, UK2000 Xtreme, PMDG, RealAir, MilViz, (some) Carenado, Flight 1, Simcheck "%20alt=

Handling feels right, but my only hands on with a 737 is in a level-D 737-400 simulator.I've commented earlier in this thread about the landing characteristics, along with Stick. I suggest you peruse through the page before this. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

Handling feels right, but my only hands on with a 737 is in a level-D 737-400 simulator.Boeing had several specific design goals when they made the 300 and 400 and 500, and one of the chief goals alongside part commonality, was to make the newer 737 handle like a 200, so your 400 level D hand-flying experience is certainly of relevance for a 200 in terms of feel. As you may know, the effort to make the longer Classic variants fly much like a 200, is in fact why they got a dorsal fin extension.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

March 26, 201214 yr Al, I didn't have you pegged as a fellow 737 fanatic until the release of these newer classic birds! When I was prepared to buy the Ariane one just so I could review it for Avsim, I thought that was a bit of a clue. Apart from the DC-3, the 737 is certainly my favourite aeroplane, and if I ever won the lottery, I would be straight on the phone to Boeing.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

March 26, 201214 yr i would like to ask how is the FDE/flying characteristic? i am thinking to buy it.. for now i am using the Tinmouse but no VC there and not so happy of the FDE.As Zach said it seems to fly good; some people are saying it may still be using the default FSX 737-800 .air file (it's certainly not directly aliased to it, and appears to have it's own .air file). If it is referencing the default -800 .air file it will be a cruel irony for Captain Sim; because in my honest opinion, at this point it flies better than any of their other aircraft!! .......... let's hope it is in fact now a custom set of numbers and they've simply mastered this black art. :( David. >> i7 2600k, 3.4Ghz, (3.8Ghz TurboBoost), 8GB DDR3 RAM, ATI HD 5770 1GB, Win 7 Home Premium 64bit. >> FSX, REX, GEX, UTX, Orbx FTX AU, NZ, US, FlyTampa, UK2000 Xtreme, PMDG, RealAir, MilViz, (some) Carenado, Flight 1, Simcheck "%20alt=
March 27, 201214 yr If you read the description on their product page, there are no realistic fde enhancements yet since it is not a full version 1 product. So it probably does fly like the default 737 for now.
March 27, 201214 yr If you read the description on their product page, there are no realistic fde enhancements yet since it is not a full version 1 product. So it probably does fly like the default 737 for now.Not quite. It flies like a "Captain Sim airplane" (as I mentioned earlier in the thread with high deck angle at landing, etc). The air file enhancements they're referring to seems to be engine perimeters and other "smaller" enhancements. It was made clear the file was not default 737 aliased but also was not complete. This add-on really is looking to be a departure from the regular CS release. The trim is fantastic, the systems are coming around nicely, the autopilot is a faithful reproduction of the Sperry 77 so far, and there are various other neat enhancements. Even opening the pilot window makes things noisy, and actually hampers pressurization! 'Lots of potential here. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
March 27, 201214 yr Agreed. I'm not flying it yet, but as soon as the mousewheel support is added, and the heading bug 'rotation speed' increased significantly, I will be flying it a lot! (even if I don't get my keyboard assignments for the Heading Bug!)I am generally very pleasantly surprised by it; it has a lot of really good touches (not least that lovely trim wheel sound, and the excellent depiction of the CWS on the pitch axis of the AP :(), it just happens that the 1 moan I have with the plane (the heading bug operation) really affects it's use for me, and the way I fly.Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
