March 31, 201214 yr OMG !!!!! gimme gimme gimme! ...not heard anything from CS on this yet, wonder where I grab the new 0.7If it does indeed have default key bindings, I am not officially CS's biggest ###### ha ha !!!It IS true! ........ this is an awesome update that makes this aircraft just beautiful to fly now!THANK YOU! Captain Sim, for listening to your customers and delivering!! ..... really impressed... B)I heartily recommend this lovely 737-200 now..... even if this was the last version, I would be very very happy with it now :( David. >> i7 2600k, 3.4Ghz, (3.8Ghz TurboBoost), 8GB DDR3 RAM, ATI HD 5770 1GB, Win 7 Home Premium 64bit. >> FSX, REX, GEX, UTX, Orbx FTX AU, NZ, US, FlyTampa, UK2000 Xtreme, PMDG, RealAir, MilViz, (some) Carenado, Flight 1, Simcheck "%20alt=

B)I heartily recommend this lovely 737-200 now..... even if this was the last version, I would be very very happy with it now :(I spoke too soon (well, without testing first); The Heading Bug +/- does not work with the default key assignments, as advertised for this update. :( ... AP Master and HDG Select do work, but not the (most important) heading bug.I tried it with the FS assignments, and via FSUIPC and I'm afraid it just does not work, even though it is on the list of additions for this update. :( David. >> i7 2600k, 3.4Ghz, (3.8Ghz TurboBoost), 8GB DDR3 RAM, ATI HD 5770 1GB, Win 7 Home Premium 64bit. >> FSX, REX, GEX, UTX, Orbx FTX AU, NZ, US, FlyTampa, UK2000 Xtreme, PMDG, RealAir, MilViz, (some) Carenado, Flight 1, Simcheck "%20alt=
March 31, 201214 yr Definately still have some things left to fix/complete but it's really coming along.APU start sound still loops but they got the volume levels fixed.I think the FDE is excellent. I noticed this particularly on takeoff and approach/landing. But I'm not a 737 pilot so I have no idea how accurate it is.It feels 737ish. Bud Estrada
March 31, 201214 yr It feels 737ish.That's what really matters on a PC sim.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
March 31, 201214 yr Commercial Member Oooooh, woke up this morning and there's already a .7 release out!? Seems just last week I installed .6. Guess I know what I will be doing during my morning "cuppa joe". Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!) Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11), EVGA 1300W PSUNetgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displaysFull array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.
March 31, 201214 yr Yes, FDE is really excellent, better than any other CS aircraft :smile:Buuuuut ....... what a disappointment the 0.7 upgrade is, only because CS actually stated these features were now working:-- AP Master, Heading Select, and Heading Decrease/increase now binded to default key assignments.Well, they clearly didn't test this before that statement, because the only one of those functions that works is the AP Master is now slaved to the 'Z' key default assignment. The Heading Select default assignment at first appears to work, as you can physically see the switch move when you press your key assignment for 'heading select'; but in the event it does not turn the aircraft, (whereas clicking the button down using the mouse does work). Most importantly for how I fly the Heading Bug (+/-) control does not work at all with the key assignments (set in FS or in FSUIPC), so I don't know how they thought that was working now. Also; even with the mouse, the heading bug is still moving horrendously slowly, and the mouse wheel still is not working well at all (despite the 0.7 announcement saying this was fixed now too). Try flying a IFR flight in FSX, and see how you get on when ATC ask you (under AP control) to "turn left headiing... etc" ... it's still extremely hard to operate this plane in anything other than a "light the fires and hand fly it around the block" respect..... :sad:It is coming along and the update pace is good, but it's disappointing reading that things have been fixed then finding out in the sim that there's no change. March 31, 201214 yr My autopilot works flawlessly, I'm happy with it! Captain Sim is stepping up the game, that's for sure (despite the terrible attitude displayed earlier in this thread by said company). Definitely a winner! ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
March 31, 201214 yr Just to clarify, my autopilot works flawlessly too, it's just the control methods of it that are poor at present. :( David. >> i7 2600k, 3.4Ghz, (3.8Ghz TurboBoost), 8GB DDR3 RAM, ATI HD 5770 1GB, Win 7 Home Premium 64bit. >> FSX, REX, GEX, UTX, Orbx FTX AU, NZ, US, FlyTampa, UK2000 Xtreme, PMDG, RealAir, MilViz, (some) Carenado, Flight 1, Simcheck "%20alt=

April 1, 201214 yr Well I spent almost a day yesterday trying to (temporarily) remove certain gauges from the 732; primarily the CDI and AutoPilot gauges, purely to see if I could temporarily replace them with other gauges that use the default FSX heading logic and AP logic; to see if the aircraft could be made more controllable under A/P.The result was that any amount of removing any gauges listed within the Panel (which I managed to do) will not open the aircraft up to control by the default FSX AP. Same with the Aircraft.cfg where I tried various experiments to try to get the default AP functions working. Why was I doing these experiments?; well just to see if I could find a way to enjoy the visual and textural beauty of the CS 737-200 but with manageable control under A/P, and also to see if things like ISG gauges and CIVA INS could be made to 'commandeer' the aircraft, and steer it according to their NAV calculations.Every single attempt failed, and I can only summise that the aircraft has some complex gauges going on as part of the main model; not accessible in anyway from the panel and aicraft .cfg files.I can therefore only hope that CS can get the issues with the incredibly slow moving heading bug, and lack of key assignability fixed as part of their pre-1.0 work on the plane. April 7, 201214 yr why would you want to mess around with guages with a complex aircraft. It's not going to work. I know nothing about it but could have told you that. Fly it like it is....
