March 22, 201214 yr Hello fellow simmers! (sorry about the english)I play MSFS since 1995....As i experienced the expectation for the release of the MS Flight, the first flights, the first limitaions, the anger of the players about the silence from MS, i saw (and that i include myself) the angry posts that were just the reflex of frustaded expetation from most of us, something changed in me after readind the "JCOMM" post - "LETTER" to the MS FLight....i just stopped and thought about that if i worked at MS i would never even read those posts at the forums...I guess that, if, instead of simply complain about our frustating expectations, we could create a simple letter of suggestions for improvments "signed" by all members, in the name of all, first with just a few requests, realistic ones, trying to improve a little more the game. That would be something that they could really consider and answer us (the group). And by realistic, i mean that WE have to understand that, for now, they would never give us a Boing 777 to fly from one island to another, as they could not give us the entire world with the same quality of Hawaii, all at once, it takes months and contless hours of work to design something like that, it is just not going to happen next month. I´m just saying that (just as we control an airplane) we always have to make small ajustments to get were we want. How about each simmer post ONE ideia, simple, realistic, that we could vote the top 10 (in a pool maybe) and send to them as a community. If we get a response or even and a improvement in the game, we could than think a little bigger and so on...Keep on flying!
March 22, 201214 yr I do not see the point, JH already said what they are planing to do, and what not.Lets put it in another way: can they develop anything (at simulator side of view) that do not exist as 3pd addon for some other simulators? I think they cant so they should just abandon that side of Flight and concentrate themselves on new modes, some competitions, missions, jobs... They can introduce T7 but lets be honest, PMDG T7 will be released much earlier than MS flight one, quality is on PMDG side, I do not really know who would fly that MS flight T7.But, to support your idea, I would like to see more challenges/ missions/aerocatches/jobs for demo version of the Flight. :) They should unlock liveries so we can make our own. March 22, 201214 yr Actually MS reads this forum every day. I know that as a fact.Fred. Frederic Steiner.
March 22, 201214 yr ... And a leaderboard. :)Or lederhosen if I let my phone's spelling checker run unchecked. In all seriousness, I think that the one biggest improvement they can make is offering more of the world to fly in. everyone asks for that right away.
March 22, 201214 yr Actually MS reads this forum every day. I know that as a fact.Fred.Yes they do and I have said that more times than I care to count. If people stopped and thought about what they were writing here understanding that the team, at some level on any given day, does read these forums, I would hope that a more "adult" discourse would occur. Some nights I go to bed shaking my head at how some folks around here embarrass the bejesus out of themselves, and that possibility never even crosses their mind. Folks! We live in a 86,000+ member community here. If you are going to show your butt, at least do it with some finesse (like I do!!!).
March 22, 201214 yr I would hope that a more "adult" discourse would occurCompared to what's going on at SimViation this place is downright geriatric.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
March 22, 201214 yr MS are in this to make a load of money - Howard himself talked about 20 million users - so why don't they just make a poll themselves and ask what customers want instead of lurking in the forums, reading countless feedback emails and making charts from their Games-For-Windows-Live-Flight-Behaviour-Tracking-Device? It took years for the Aces team to do away with that legacy and the damage it did. Of course a page out of that history appears to have settled upon us again...
March 22, 201214 yr Would like to hear more about that Tom. While I've been a simmer for 25 years it's not that long ago since I discovered AVSIM or the FS Insider website. Maybe a topic for yor blog? Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!

March 22, 201214 yr The world of business has certainly changed with the Internet. News travels fast and opinions are shared before a product is even launched. Customers behave very different now than in the Bruce Williams era. I can imagine that f. ex. going on Facebook was a topic of long discussion within MS. March 22, 201214 yr Commercial Member MS adds features and goes to direction which brings them most money. I believe that most MS Flight users are not looking for stuff that would add some new kind of realism to Flight. (other than graphical and maybe AI)

I believe that most MS Flight users are not looking for stuff that would add some new kind of realism to Flight. (other than graphical and maybe AI) "...if we get 4000 emails from 4000 unique users asking for a feature, we're going to pay attention. I won't guarantee that that gets it into the game, but we're certainly going to talk about it."If we don't ask politely, we stand no chance whatever of influencing whatever does wind up in Flight... March 22, 201214 yr We must do this. As far as I'm concerned it is imperative that the Flight team (or their marketing Jedi) hear what we, as users of their software, think about their newest product. As everyone here says, it must also be done properly, not as a howl. People can't hear you properly when you shout. If we don't do this, they really will only hear from casual gamers who couldn't care less about Flight/FSX or flight sims as a genre of many years' standing. Imagine how bleak that would be.To all those who say they won't buy into the whole idea because it doesn't fit their paradigm of what a flight sim is/should be, I say, please, even if you don't want to use Flight, get on board with the idea that MS may, at some time in the future, answer some of our questions properly, with the additions/corrections and addons we want.Simply repeating the choice quotes from JH's AVSIM interview isn't cutting it. You need to read between the lines, and try and open a discourse with the cracks in his reasoning, not just slag him off. He has a boss. His boss has a boss. It's in those lofty heights (I suspect) that the real hardcore simming decisons wre stamped on (and early, too I reckon)To those who just want the whole world (and they want it NOW!<--Freddie Mercury reference, not a dig at anyone!), you won't get it. It would be such a resource drain at this early stage of the product it would never get the green light..Please, please do write, politely as Fr Bill says, to MS and explain to them WHY Flight isn't (in your opinion) going to work. And offer suggestions to help fix it.remember: politeness costs nothingbestjake If you are going to show your butt, at least do it with some finesse :LMAO: Ok, here I go.. March 22, 201214 yr Commercial Member Heh. Avsim forum post's were good water-cooler talk. Yes, they do read this stuff, and some even post stuff here. The better post's will get more positive attention. Im not saying the more positive post! If you have valid complaints, the better you put them, the better your chances are of being taken seriously.
