There is none in the forums. There is bargain announcements in the classifieds section, but it is pretty much a dead area. I really miss the old bargain hunter forum area. I got really good tips of bargains from there and spent a lot of dough...

I noticed that forum was going during the discussion of 2/29. I was looking for sale announcements but I couldn't find the forum. I was especially proud of that forum because its creation was based on my suggestion.Is it gone?

I know the section in classifieds as I said before. Only problem is that compared to original forum, classifieds bargain section is pretty much dead. Reason I don't know, but it definitely isn't working like the Bargain forum thread.

Agreed. When the bargain hunter forum was created my first thought was, "this was an awesome idea, I'm so glad Avsim put this forum in." And of course, anything I think is a great idea get's canned.

I agree. I just wish that Avsim guys would consider returning the bargain hunter area. If bargain area in classifieds section remains pretty much empty, it clearly doesn't work.

I did give it a go, and sometimes change is for the worse.Look at the comments in this ad, for an offer which incidentally expired mid-February, although it supposedly has 45 days left to run. Even the guy who helped develop the LINDA program found the system too difficult.http://forum.avsim.n...erosoft-20-off/The beauty of the previous system was that anyone could post simple details of a bargain in about 20 seconds flat, no messing or complication.

Have to agree here--is there some legal reason that forum was replaced by the classifieds? Because it's gone from being a great and useful feature to effectively not there (mostly not used, and when it is it doesn't really seem to work--see Petraeus's link).James

The reason I suggested the creation of the bargain hunters forum was we needed a place where regular users could post deals. Of course, developers could post their sales but was a place where everyone could post deals they found.Posts like -"Hi, I was just over at ORBX and everything is 75% of more the next 75 minutes"That was the purpose of the forum and I think it did a pretty good job - quick and easy. These types of posts are already in the FSX forum and FS9 forums but they don't get bumped enough or they turn in to long conversations. I see that anyone can place a classified add but so far, it looks more like a swap meet to me.
