Have you learned nothing from PMDG over the years ? PMDG marketing strategy is simple: Make multiple variants and charge for them in pieces, I would expect the same with the 777 so rest assured you will get all of them....for a price.
Do you mean the many different chargeable varients of the 747?Or the numerous chargeable variations of the MD-11?How about the almost uncountable varieties of the JS41 that PMDG sell?Or are you referring to the two NGX packages available, providing seven different aircraft? (Not paint jobs, but different aircraft)

:(
Ok so according to the PMDG presentation that some guy uploaded to YouTube (finally!), the base pack will be the -300LR and the -200LR (I think he meant -300ER, but we'll see whenever part 3 comes out...)

Ha,The B777-200LR,B777-300ER and B777F(FedEx

I'll just use -200LR for CYYZ<->ZSPD with Continental Livery...

Such a strategy is potentially frustrating to me if you don't get the systems differences modelled and just a visual model (e.g. you get the pax electrical system with the freighter version), or you always get the same VC when in the real world there are differences (e.g. extra panels in a freighter but you still get the pax VC). I'd rather pay a bit more for a single complete package. Can anyone elaborate on the main systems differences between the 777 freighter and pax?

Unfortunately, Ryan said the base pack will only include the 777-200LR and the 777-300ER will be available as an expansion.
That's not what he meant - the base package is the 200LR, the first expansion is the 300ER. Like how the NGX was 800/900 first and 600/700 second.

My PC: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW, i7 6700k OC'd to 4.6, ASUS Rog Maximus VIII Hero Mobo, 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM, 2 Intel 750 Series SSDs, Creative Sound Blaster Z.

I would buy them all, but if you held a gun to my head and told me to pick only three:

  • 777-200LR
  • 777-300ER
  • 777F

  • 3 weeks later...

-200, -200ER, -200LR, -300, -300ER, -200F. Who agrees?

Even though I'd be happy with both 777-300ER and 777-200LR, the latter alone would be more than enough for me. Luckily it'll be in the base package :)

Every variant apart from the non ER 300, don't think I'll fly that at all. Apart from that one I'll fly them all really. All just as good! Remember, the 200/ER Cockpit has different Standby Instruments to the 300 and LR. It has 3, older ones, also they have a ''No Smoking Sign'' on the overhead. I think the 77W will be most popular, gah it's been nearly a Year since I started to want a 777 for FSX. Soon..

I Always want it as real as is gets. So that means All of them except the Tanker because it's not there yet. Then PMDG could make an update.

For me, by far the -200LR. Can't wait to simulate some cool Air Canada flights!
