Is the Maule worth it's price?

Featured Replies

I've heard it's the best plane in MS Flight. But 15 bucks?? Hmm...... I have the Adventure pack, and I have to say, I really only use the RV-6, so I would like another plane. What makes the Maule worth it?Boy, I'm so tempted to buy it....missions, too....hmmmmm

$15 is dirt cheap for a top quality add-on aircraft. The Maule is as good as any payware GA single for FSX. The autopilot is there but non functional at this time, but other than that all systems are modeled accurately. PLUS, the Maule opens up new missions/challenges. Most important is the Maule opens up the job board to passenger & cargo flights. Like the RV-6it has radios that enable IFR flight. For $15 its a steal.

How many missions and jobs exactly do you get with it?

Yup, if you like Flight, and you prefer to have things be fairly realistic, then it is worth having. It is modeled to a good standard, well on par or better than anything you can find for FSX in most respects, and for some of the missions in Flight it is the best choice, since with those tiny dirt strips which abound, the Maule would really be the only realistic option thanks to its STOL capabilities. If you imagine someone would make something that well for FSX and then sell it for a paltry 15 Dollars, you'd be mistaken.Al

+1 - Go for it.

You can't run a decent livestock airline without it!

Yep the Maule is the best plane in Flight so far, and I've been wishing I could also fly it in FSX when I am doing more serious flying, I just wish it had a GPS and AP, but that is not it's fault those are flight features that have been sacrificed to the gamer gods.

I like it.

It's a good buy. Very low hours SMOH with 1800 TBO. Good downward visibility, too, since it's high-wing.

I think it's a decent price. I'd get it. (well I did get it... lol)

If I'm right, the game adds that job back if you've completed it. But that's only if you've completed it the day before.

Jobs can also change if you change the date or time or season from Free FlightFlight writes-updates your carrer files when you exit the game.
