User made challenges in Flight

Featured Replies

Hello good people,Since we don't have some sort of mission editor, the only way to make challenges for community members is verbally and visually, using Avsim forums :)So i will start :)Few weeks ago, i was flying with a friend looking for Aerocaches and stumbled upon a rather small keyhole on the tiny island of Niihau (west of Kauai). I gave it a try which resulted in a severe crash.Never flew near there afterwards. But today, after watching some cool Youtube videos of amazing real world stunt pilots, i was kind of reminded of that keyhole and decided to try again. So, after several tries that didn't end well, i finally managed to fly through the keyhole with my RV-6 :)Here's the video so, please, let me know what you think. I even added a small sound effect while flying through the keyhole, to make it more dramatic lol.I would like to encourage the whole community to come up with challenges similar to this, so that we can all try and record it and later brag about it :)Cheers

Great job there Eevun, congratulations! And THANK you for making the video, in cockpit view!!A mission builder would be a very nice addition to this sim.

First of all - thank you Don :) I had fun doing it.Also, you are welcome :) I fly only in cockpit view except while cruising on high altitude on a job with mild winds; then i use some external views just to enjoy the scenery for a minute or two.I fully agree about the mission editor.Have a great day.Cheers

Still trying to get people interested in fly-thru-the-hangar races at PHNL. I think the interest is there, but organization is the problem. Different schedules, etc...BTW Cool video! Will have to try that.

Thx Frank, i am glad you like the video. You should try it, it's fun.As for the hangar race, i would love to give it a shot. Add me as a friend, my gamer tag is "Turbofolkrolla" :)Also, i'm always up for casual multiplayer flying, doing jobs and stuff as well.Cheers

Thank you Newthog :) Glad you like it. Yeah, i was going for that dramatic effect like in action movies lol.Cheers
Per Tom's suggestion, here is a Doodle schedule of upcoming races. http://www.doodle.com/biswf7d4ym7c68wxIf interested choose any or all of the three races listed.
Frank, is see 21:00 listed as a time there. Is that UTC or PST? Or maybe doodle converts that automatically to my time zone?

Regards,

Tom

Bravo, great pass and great sound effect indeed.Pozz
