April 2, 201214 yr Ok, thanks i will try tomorrow :-) Take a look at this, for 800-900: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/347598-3d-shockwave-800-900wl-settings/#entry2098822 and this, for 600-700: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/353066-shockwave-600-700-settings-here/#entry2153734. This is is what I'm using. Thanks to Rich Sennett. Best regards Cristiano Mueller
April 2, 201214 yr does it give any hit on frames ? Thanks Michael I don't feel any difference in FPS. But what the OP asked, for me remains: in certain periods of dawn and dusk the lights do not illuminate the ground properly. But I consider normal (see my post number 6 above). Best regards Cristiano Mueller
April 2, 201214 yr dawn and dusk the lights do not illuminate the ground properly. I may be wrong here, but I think the runway not being illuminated by landing lights AT DAWN OR DUSK, is an FSX bug and will be the same with any aircraft... If you look at the screen shots in the second post the MD11 is illuminating the runway but the NGX isn't. According to the poster the shots are at exactly the same time of day so it doesn't look like an FSX bug to me, or if it is it isn't "the same with any aircraft". Andy Lawton

That's why I consider this normal. It's not a bug for me. It´s like I said above, on post #6. But it is a small fraction of time (minutes) that the lights do not illuminate. A few minutes and already you can see some reflection. Best regards Cristiano Mueller
April 2, 201214 yr OK, no sweat, I'm happy to be corrected. April 3, 201214 yr Do you have ground shadows enabled for fsx? Sometimes addon scenery don't like that setting. fyi shockwave lights do absolutely nothing for the ground light illumination, the only thing shockwaves does is give a really unrealistic glow to the lights.
April 3, 201214 yr Author Ah ok, I was about to change the config for the 600 to enable Shockwave, but I also don´t like the lightglow most of the time from Shockwave. So if it does nothing to illuminate the ground more, then I will pass. I have aircraft shadows enabled, don´t know if you meant that. Oliver Donner
April 3, 201214 yr That was my thought, that shockwave was only for the external lights... Niklas Eriksson

April 3, 201214 yr Commercial Member Absolutely nothing was changed with lighting in SP1c... There are certain situations and combinations of materials on the ground that will cause the lights to appear dim or absent. Nothing we can do about it. Default FSX lights and stuff based on them like Shockwave don't actually illuminate the ground and objects, they just put that white plane over top of it - I don't think that's a worthy tradeoff. April 3, 201214 yr Guys, I have a question regarding the discussion here: Where do I get the shockwave lights mentioned here ? I have REX, do they come with the REX license ? I've seen that A2A also has shockwave lights ? Are they the same as REX ? Or better ? thanks for replies Mathieu Souphy
