And here's how to find the list of airports you've landed at:

 

There's a file called career.spb in the same folder that has your controls file. It's also got all your career files. It's one of the folders in the hidden appdata folder under users: local/microsoft/flight/players/<long number>/career. Copy the career.spb file to your desktop (so you don't mess with the real one), then open this file in notepad. It's easiest to open an empty notepad then drag the file to the open notepad window.

 

The file contains a lot of hex data, so don't expect it to be easily readable. But if you scroll down 30 lines or so, you'll see a list of your airports. There's a "$" character at the beginning of the list, and another at the end. There won't be an entry for Bellows, but it's not counted. Since you're working with a COPY of the original file (you are, right?) you can edit out the garbage for a list of your airports. Compare this with the airports in the game, and the ones that are missing from the file haven't been counted yet.

Me too! 1964-1967. And I did the same thing...checked for the cabins at Bellows. The golf course on Hickam is there too (although not photo real) but I couldn't find the four-plexs next to it that we lived in.

Why...yes I did! I went to Mokulele while my older sister went to Radford. BTW, I couldn't find either of these in Flight.

I looked at the list and the pdf in another post and i know i've landed at all the ports listed. i checked the career file and compared it to the list and there were three missing in mine. HI 28, HI 29, and HI 31. I know i've landed on these fields, but i went back to them and landed. No achievement. Frustrating. Any advice? and btw, my unique airfields number is 35. what's up with that. with 3 missing, shouldn't it be 33?

Sometimes achievements only unlock if you exit the game and restart it again !

Make sure you have all the updates.

Hello Mason, welcome to the AVSIM forums.

 

Sometimes a landing might not register because a landing "trigger" does not fire in game, it might be a bug and has already been noted.

Upper Paauau HI29 and Pahala HI28 are small dirt airstrips; Manuna Kea-Honolii HI31 although bigger and hard surface is also an airstrip. You might have to land almost in the centerline to register.

About the unique airport discrepancy.

First close Flight or things won’t work as expected, then make a copy of career.pdb ; don’t work on the original.

Check again if by any chance you game added a couple airports.

 

 

Note about Manuna Kea-Honolii HI31

One of the Maule landing challanges #4 takes place at that airstrip, and I know from past experience that some landings there do not register at all, especially when approaching from the East (RWY Heading 25).

Apparently it has to do with some graphics card settings and scenery.

 

 

 

That one was probably my 8^th attempt to get the landing to register, but plane literally “sunk”

Thanks. It wasn't updated. and the one i have left is the one from challenge 4 maule. i'm gonna try to get it done. it's a hard one though.

You don't have to do the Maule Challenge landing to get credit for that airfield. I have done none of the Maule Landing Challenges and have the "land at all airports" award. Try it in good conditions with an easier plane.

Mason: RoboRay is correct: You don't have to do the challange to get the landing credit.

Use the Icon to complete your unique airport count.

 

 

What I was trying to write is that sometimes landing there won't register at all, challange or not.

 

(From the Beta site: Apparently it is a trigger bug and also related to some graphics settings-cards.)

 

TIP: For the Challange, If you have trouble landing on RWY heading 25 (uphill) try RWY heading 7 (downhill). The key is to land slow and close to the edge of the airstrip, just as you clear the trees on your right side. Then apply brakes.

That should have been fixed in the last update, at least if you're using a joystick or yoke. There should be lines that say:

 

<NonLinear>True</NonLinear>

 

on the elevator, ailerons and rudder controls. I don't know what happens if you are using a different kind of controller.
