Just play with people you know, its not different from other online games.

idk, i doubt hackers would take an interest in flight. and technically speaking, you could make an RV a lot faster in RL if you wanted....throw a turbo on there, some ridic prop,. gut the plane, chop...probably hit 300kts+ with those mods.

I have 31 of the 32 achievements so far and the only one left to get is the pentacontacache.

I have all the aerocaches to date except for the latest 2 bugged ones. So it will still take me at least 15 days to get the next 15 aerocaches !

I don't care about the achievements or experience level of others (however if you have 11k hours flight time like the gentleman who flies for Delta Virtual Airlines, much respect sir). For me, Flight is a simulator to enjoy with other Flight friends. It's not a game which yields the necessity to compete and compare with others.

 

My hunch is Flight won't appeal to the garden variety hacker/exploiter. It's not your typical FPS or MMORPG where cheating to gain levels provides some sort of unfair advantage in competitive play. If you find fools in your game, you've got the tools to easily boot them. The only thing at risk are my points which I paid $ for on Live so hopefully that stays secure. I don't keep much of a balance there anyway.

They're already here. I know of people who have unlocked pentacontacache the same day they started the game.

I fail to see what the hackers could actually 'ruin'...? I couldn't care less if someone unlocked everything, really. I myself don't care at ALL for achievements and things you have to complete. In fact, I hate things like that. Whenever you start playing a game only to get a specific achievement, the game becomes a chore... I've played games like that in the past (long time ago) and always got frustrated because there always is one mission or whatever you can't get done and if you can't get them all it sucks... I did all the landing missions in MS Flight but didn't get gold on all (on some I didn't even get bronze) but the idea of doing those missions over and over and over and over again ONLY to get gold... for what...? Not my idea of fun.

 

I like to fly and do whatever I feel like doing.

The person who cheats is only cheating themselves. In Flight what the hell can they do to you if they unlock an aerocache anyway? Nothing, so the point is moot. The only thing it could be considered, is if they can get points that have real-world monetary value, then that becomes fraud (e.g. hacking to get points to get free aircraft that are otherwise payware for those not willing to complete whatever to earn them).
