April 18, 201214 yr Yes, no action, have to back to the co-pilot, and there the "fist" shows up to say I have it locdked.............auestion, when the heading know is moved, it moves the 'ilot"s as well, but not with the course, there I make and adjustment, the go to the AP and push the Couse SEL button to make it move..............is this correct way to do???? B42L8 I just noticed your post. I have the same issue and have a string of around 17 emails back and forth to Carenado to find the problem with no luck. In my case the only way to adjust either course or heading is to click and drag on the copilot side, which moves the pilot side as well. It is a really strange one. cheers, steve
April 18, 201214 yr BTW, this fix also works after SP1. :good: Having [finally] applied this after SP1's release, I just have to say what a great mod it is - very useful. Thanks again Bert!!! Trevor Bair CMEL+IR | PA32R-301T & C208BMy Real World Travels
April 18, 201214 yr Hey Burt, is there a way to replace the EFIS popup with the Autopilot 2D panel, or perhaps add an Autopilot 2D popup to EG. the VSI? I'd try it out myself if I my brain was big enough to decrypt that source code...
April 19, 201214 yr Author Hey Burt, is there a way to replace the EFIS popup with the Autopilot 2D panel, or perhaps add an Autopilot 2D popup to EG. the VSI? I'd try it out myself if I my brain was big enough to decrypt that source code... I've added a clickspot to the top border of the EADI that pops up the autopilot. Send me a PM if you would like a copy. Bert
April 20, 201214 yr When the mouse is unchecked in FSUIPC, the adjustments can be made via the mousewheel..............on my system, at least!.......B42L8...............(on the undocked AP panel)
April 20, 201214 yr With the autopilot being positioned on the floor, it gets really awkward to make a quick HDG or CRS adjustment, unless you fly from the right seat. I've started using a Saitek Multi Panel, which is essentially an autopilot module and also includes a flaps lever and pitch wheel. It mounts to the top of my yoke. It has a LED digital display, selector switch, and adjustment knob, and I can make all of my altitude, VS, HDG, and CRS adjustments. Can even make IAS adjustments in relevant aircrafts. The only part of the module I don't use is the trim wheel as I have trim function set on my yoke. I'm now finding that radio and nav frequencies and a variety of switches (starter, various lights, etc) are about all I use my mouse for. I completed a three hour flight in the C90 yesterday and cannot recall using my keyboard other than to press ALT to get the FSX menu bar. April 20, 201214 yr If you did not see this in another post, I did uncheck everything for the mouse, and yees, I now can adjust the heading and course from the popup....................(makes life a lot easier!!!) B42L8
April 21, 201214 yr Author BTW, if you made this change prior to SP1, you really should repeat the exercise since Carenado fixed some bugs in the EHSI as part of the service pack. Bert
April 21, 201214 yr I found that even with the amendments to the EFIS I had to open and close the window after each heading or course change to reactivate the click spots. I have now created a new window using the F1 PC-12 EFIC Controller, Just copied the relevant window from the PC-12 panel config to the C-90 panel config and renumbered it. Only the heading and course knobs work but they work every time. This, for me, is the best option so far. Hope the problem is fixed fairly soon. Dissy If you can walk away it's a good landing
April 21, 201214 yr Author Not sure what problem you are referring to.. can you be more specific? And are you using the mouse wheel to turn the knobs on the C90 autopilot popup?? Lastly, have you tried the EHSI invisible clickspots work-around described at the top of this thread? Bert
April 21, 201214 yr Bert, Hope you can be of assistance. For some reasons the mod doesn't work. My mouse on both the EHSI and the AP won't work. I have tried to install a install a pop up AP, but the heading will not show a left cursor. I do have SP1 and FSUIP registered...wheel mouse is deactivated I think...not checked in the trim box. Cheers Gmac
April 21, 201214 yr Author If you're having mouse problems, make sure that your mouse wheel actually works. Just test it on some other airplane first. If still issues, send me a PM with details. The C90 autopilot popup (shift-4) has mouse wheel activated hdg, crs, and decision height knobs. Try them all and report any issues - and I'll see if I can help.. Bert
April 21, 201214 yr Just reread this post and figured out that I had not made the change to the "3D" panel...............now the clickspots will be there, thanks again.......B42L8
April 22, 201214 yr Hi Bert, Reference my last post. I open all of my popup windows on a second monitor and leave them open. With window 4 open on the second monitor I can adjust heading and course using the mod at the beginning of this thread and it works perfectly, UNTIL I use either the heading or course sync buttons. Then the heading and course adjustments do not work until I close and reopen the window. If I leave the window on the main screen I don't have the problem. I know someone will suggest the obvious, but my preference is to use the second screen for all pop ups Dissy If you can walk away it's a good landing

Seems the HDG and CRS knobs do not function on a second monitor in FULL screen mode only. If you go to windowed and undock them in a second monitor, the HDG and CRS knobs work. OR if you run full screen then move the AP/EHSI cntrl into the main screen and back to the second monitor they work untill pressing another button then they stop again. It seems to be a bug. I emailed Carenado, will see how that goes! They had no clue what I was talking about????????? ArDee
