Happy you are enjoying it guys. It's just a result of months and months of tweaking and testing stuff. Things might as well change with the next generation hardware, but with SB things are really working great!

As for the double posts, seems like a forum problem, it's being looked into.

Let us know if you need us to test as well. Seems like the more people we can get testing in the community the better! Thanks again!!

Can you tell me what FFTF Stands for,and where I'd find it?

Thank You

This stands for Fiber Frame Time Fraction.

Aaron

What does 2sgss mean/stand for? And how can add it?

I know we talked about this in the hardware forum but when I'm in dense clouds I'm really getting a stutter penalty... I'm going back to 8xSQ for the time being....

Ryan isn't the 8xSQ more taxing on the system than 8xS??

TY for your efforts Word Not Allowed!

I use 8xSQ now, it makes my aircraft looking sharper in outside view than 8xS with apperently no framerate loss with my Asus GTX570 DCII 1.28 GB.

FTFF = 0.20

Antialiasing Transparency Supersampling 4x

Anisotropic Filtering 16x

Hi Costa,

I tried your Antialiasing Transparency Supersampling '2x Sparse Grid Supersampling' instead of '4x'.

Wow! Even the slightest shimmering is completely gone now, the picture is perfect, i could even go back to '8xS' instead of '8xSQ' without sharpness or quality loss and so my general framerate is even slightly better or drops less in very heavy conditions.

You are a genius, thank you very much! im%20Not%20Worthy.gif

PS: Just another question :

My framerate has always been 25% to 30% less when i run in windowed mode.

Do you think framerates in windowed mode will improve if i make the same settings in the Nvidia Inspector 'GLOBAL_DRIVER_PROFILE (Base Profile)' as now in the 'MS Flight Simulator X' profile ?

Try this for super sharp and shifts more work onto GFX.

Do you have any "fixes" for VSYNC in the FSX.cfg?

This is quite old news. Puts more strain on the card, with less quality than 2xSGSS.

Word Not Allowed, yes i have in my graphics section :

Remove it, that explains the problem. See the update in the Guide under VSYNC section.

So i removed ForceFullScreenVSync=1 and ForceWindowedVSync=1

In Nvidia Inspector i did set Vertical Sync to '1/2 Refresh Rate' instead of 'Force on'.

Previously my target framerate in FSX was always set to UNLIMITED, first with the external DXTORY framelimiter and recently i used Nvidia Inspector.

Now i did set the Frame Rate Limiter to OFF In Nvidia Inspector and i did set the old FSX Target Frame Rate to 30 again.

You were right again: now i have the same good frames full screen and windowed !

It looks like the FSX frame limiter is ok and there is no need for an external one with my system.

Thank's again Word Not Allowed!

Good to know!

Add to that BP=0 and FFTF=0.1 as in the Guide.
