April 25, 201214 yr Solution....create a ton of DC-6 topics....like why the version you want isn't part of the intial release... :Just Kidding: "The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." - Douglas Adams Tejon 'TJ' Stanley
April 25, 201214 yr It's a good plan, but those topics would be knocked off P1 of the forums in a matter of minutes by all the 'PMDG, please make an A380' topics. :LMAO: Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
April 30, 201214 yr I am really looking forward to PMDG's DC-6!!! I have always wondered why there are no vintage Russian Propliners for FSX, like An-24 or Tu-114.
May 11, 201214 yr I'm not sure why you would update a 727 to a modern cockpit. Even cargo carriers are retiring the three holers here in North America because what they are best at is converting jet fuel to noise....not fuel efficient at all. Colin Ware
May 11, 201214 yr It is not so much the fuel efficiency as the noise levels which are seeing them disappear; it is true they are not as fuel efficient as newer types, but you could still make a profit with them flying cargo, however they simply make too much noise, even with hush kits fitted, and since most cargo flights depart at night, they are getting squeezed out of the airspace of the developed world. May 12, 201214 yr Really pleasant video, thank you for sharing. Wasn't very interested interested in the DC-6, but it has re kindled the idea of flying this old bird, ill enjoy learning how to fly this challenging airplane which seems to demand a lot of skill and attention to detail, as opposed to the more sophisticated airliners that reduce the pilot workload considerably. Robin
May 16, 201214 yr Try looking at the two entries on wikipedia... The differences are numerous, like different engines for one... (R2800 in the 6B, R3350 in the 7C, which generates 900HP more power than the R2800...) There are others, but I am sure it will be more interesting for you to look yourself... A Andrew Entwistle
