Doesn't work!

Can't get started even.

It says that it's on Maui and it starts at PHUG.

Far as I know, there is NO PHUG on Maui.

In fact I don't think Hawaii even has a PHUG.

My guess is that it's VERY screwed up and that it should be starting at PHOG.

Don't know if the aerocache is even there, but I may take off from PHOG and check out the West Maui Mountains.

I wonder if they will ever get the aerocaches correct?

The new aerocache doesn`t show up in the tracker. It says no Aerocache selected.

Anyway the Aerocache is there if you are able to find it without detector.

But in the near of the aerocache i got terrible stutters/lags, same reported from 2 other guys i spoke to.

Here is a workaround, from a fellow beta:

Clicking Start Hunt

returns you to the MAP as expected,

but displays an error message -

- There is no aerocache being tracked.

It's another bug...

To resolve it, select any uncollected aerocache (for example, Curvature of the Earth) , push Start Hunt, But don't push TakeOff. Then select again aerocache of the day, manually position your aircraft, and push Free Flight ! You'll have Cache Sensor...

The Bug is present because there is invalid name of Start Hunting Airport (PHUG !!! ) ;)

Have a nice hunting!!!

Position your airplane at Kahului (PHOG) and Fly WSW.

The workaround does work. Pick the curvature of the earth aerocache and then click on Kahului airport... pick a west facing runway and fly WSW to the big valley South of the tallest peak. The aerocache is not on the valley floor... but up the north side of the valley... not very far into the valley.

I crashed the first time trying to turn around and see the aerocache. I was flying the valley floor.

Brian: The Iao Valley aerocache is messed up. Please see my previous post here to enable the hunt tool.

Hi,

"PHUG"! Sounds like Flight has been hacked.

Anyway, I didn't experience what others did. The described Aerocache I saw was for "Iao Valley" but when I selected the plane and went to start I saw "No Aerocache selected". After rechecking I started from the location I was put at. It seems I was a bit east of Wailuku heading east. I turned and headed to the valley to the west and soon saw the yellow Aerocache pointer. The cache was in a narrow offshoot of the valley and I dove to get it and pulled up in time. I turned to the east and landed at the airport. Saw "Puu Kukui" was now indicated as the Aerocache of the day. I couldn't find any reference to Iao Valley.

Iao Valley is no more. Again previous aerocache.

What? My game still shows the Iao Valley. :Hypnotized:

What is your time zone?

I'm UTC -6

I found Iao Valley aerocache with help from your map. I'm at UTC +1. I had it about half an hour ago, now it's ... uau ... new again. Yokohama beach ...

.....

And this one is working.

They are providing two aerocaches a day starting today. One old one, and one new one, to allow people that missed one to get them.

Whew, about all I can say is this is the one thing I have yet to do in Flight - an aerocache hunt - from all I have seen posted with the issues so far, I am kind of glad I haven't yet. Having a lot of fun with all the other things, I will get around to aerocache hunting eventually I am sure.

I found it before it was taken off.

I just used free flight and flew out of PHOG.

Don: Try them; they are quite fun and some are challenging.

In all fairness, the aerocaches have worked quite well, excluding the Title Update mishap and today’s.aerocaches.

Cheers
