Well my friend who flies them for EK said the 77L manages that route so much better! They still do it in both but the better flight was in the 77L performance wise. I'll be doing that one of my first, have my Polar plan ready ha. I would love a good OMDB as that's where I'll be flying out a lot of, once the 300ER comes I'll be out of LHR a lot though. It's strange flying such an epic addon at such a dull Airport ha.

The 77L has bigger fuel tanks than the 77W but less seats. They both have the same MTOW's etc too, 300ER basically just can carry more pax and 200LR can carry less pax but more fuel of course. Like Rob said, they're very similar! If you want the Polar Flight Plan drop me a PM!

You'd better pray you don't get a CTD on short final into Singapore, I know if I did I'd probably pack flight simming in there and then.

That must of been a horrible feeling when the sim froze, I know I dread that moment. Luckily I haven't had one in a while but I do still get extremely nervous when coming into land after a long flight.

I'm pretty sure those flights are fully fueled. I don't think you can carry a full load without a fuel stop. Fully loaded she can fly up to 7500 nm. So I'd say a little smaller than max payload to get to the 9500 nm mark.

 

Though I'm sure that this information will become more clearer as PMDG gets closer to finishing whatever -200LR they are modeling (whether it may be a stock 772 or one that is already in service with an airline).

Since the LR is out first, I want to fly:

 

DL KLAX-YSSY, KATL-FAJS

EK OMDB-KIAH, OMDB-KLAX, OMDB-KSEA

AC CYVR-YSSY

AI VIDP-CYYZ

QR OTBD-KIAH

 

Basically, I want to try some of the longest trips.

Continental (now United) EWR-HKG.

Given that the first model released will be the 777-200LR, I will probably fly a leg from CYYZ-EGLL on a Air Canada bird. It will be a good route to try out ETOPS and NAT planning with PFPX as well.

Well the initial flight will no doubt have to be the short delivery flight from KPAE to KPDX, as we celebrate the (fictional) return of Delta's Asian hub to Portland. :-)

 

After that, I think ZBAA would be a very interesting airport to launch direct 777 service to, as it is among the fastest-growing airports in the world.
