April 24, 201214 yr J Van E.. Don't take this the wrong way because I respect your choice (even if I don't agree with everything) but you shouldn't be promoting Flight regardless if it was the best sim ever in the history of flight sims.. That's Microsofts job and it starts with the product and ends with public relations. Product: D+ | Take away the banner ads Microsoft paid for the team generally don't promote or even hype up their own product. Public Relations: F+ | When they do post it's generally some short worded post followed by a picture of a plane we're supposed to guess or sharing someones Youtube video Other than that they do nothing. April 24, 201214 yr but if people buy into the no cockpit concept, they will only have themselves to blame if it continues to slip downhill. Hello Al Most here will end up buying the P-40, they did with the Zero and so the direction MS has taken with Flight! is once again shown to be the correct one. Flight! is really successful at this point with an audience far larger than FSX simply because MS got it right. The world really wanted an easy flying game rather than a simulation and they are delivering exactly that, Whatever sells best will be the direction and the guys here will keep on buying them.
April 24, 201214 yr I won't be buying it even if it does come with a cockpit. Military aircraft are not my thing and I'm not keen on taildraggers either. Oh well, there's allways next month. Steve Smith i7-2600K - GTX580 - 8GB ram
April 24, 201214 yr I didnt buy the Zero, but I really am hoping for this P40 to have a VC, however, I am very skeptical because from the "rumor mill" I hear this plane was "already created" and "already in the line-up regardles." That is what makes me think that it will not have one, but....I really hope it does, it looks pretty cool and would be fun to fly. 24hours and we will see....
April 24, 201214 yr but you shouldn't be promoting Flight regardless if it was the best sim ever in the history of flight sims. Well, when I say 'promote' I mean to say that whenever I am enthusiastic about something, I tend to post very enthusiastic posts about it everywhere I can and that is what could be called promoting. I do feel like I am promoting Flight because I love the game and I always like to get others excited to about things I love. I am certainly not promoting it to help Microsoft! Although of course do believe that the more people use Flight, the more future it has. However, all these VC-less warbirds don't get me very excited... and hence my need to 'promote' is getting lower and lower...
April 24, 201214 yr However, all these VC-less warbirds don't get me very excited... Your feeling is not clear. Could you please elaborate it further maybe adding an appropriate adjective ? Even if I'm clearly not a mothertongue let me suggest you a few : frustrated, disappointed, angry, without a cockpit.
April 24, 201214 yr Most here will end up buying the P-40, they did with the Zero Speak for yourself. You're certainly not speaking for me nor a lot of others.

Then I got bored, then MS kept dropping balls. I want it to do well, I want it to be what it has the potential to be but. Meh.. I found my happy place in FSX, you found yours in Flight.. :) Variety is the spice of life.. If it wasn't for MS Flight I would never have given FSX a second look.. I say Potato, you say Po-Tot-Toe etc etc etc. :LMAO: ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING / i9-9900k @ 4.7 all cores w/ NOCTUA NH-D15S / 2080ti / 32GB G.Skill 3200 RIPJAWS / 1TB Evo SSD / 500GB Evo SSD / 2x 3TB HDD / CORSAIR CRYSTAL 570X / IPSG 850W 80+ PLATINUM / Dual 4k Monitors
April 24, 201214 yr FSX? Did you give up on P3D? Yeah man.. I wrote a post about it (on the P3D forum here) admitting I quit it. I got FSX running beautifully just by removing Ultimate Traffic 2.. No more hitching and runs great. P3D is reminding me waaaaaaaaaaaay to much of FSX before it was made stable with tweaks and G3D errors being captured to prevent FSX from shutting down. P3D gave me two G3D crashes a few weeks ago and recently as soon as two days ago crashed with an Out Of Memory error.. Again, way too much like FSX used to be. LM will blame it on addons and ask you to try to re-create it on a Vanilla install.. Right.. I'm not flying a Vanilla "FSX" which is full of low res badly flying airplanes. So that's where I stand and very happy. :) ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING / i9-9900k @ 4.7 all cores w/ NOCTUA NH-D15S / 2080ti / 32GB G.Skill 3200 RIPJAWS / 1TB Evo SSD / 500GB Evo SSD / 2x 3TB HDD / CORSAIR CRYSTAL 570X / IPSG 850W 80+ PLATINUM / Dual 4k Monitors
April 24, 201214 yr You're certainly not speaking for me nor a lot of others. Hello And you are certainly not speaking for the huge amount of happy folk buying these aircraft. If these aircraft were not hugely popular MS would not release them, the true market for Flight! sees little interest in sitting in a cockpit just as it has little interest in aviation in general. They want FUN and MS are giving it to them.

And you are certainly not speaking for the huge amount of happy folk buying these aircraft. I'm not the one making claims about what other people are interested in and about what they are going to buy in the future.

Just the opposite here.... IMO. it doesn't get any better than a WWII fighter/bomber, unless someone gives me a new Citation X, or Gulfstream. As to 172's, no interest. L.Adamson
April 24, 201214 yr 'm not the one making claims about what other people are interested in and about what they are going to buy in the future Hello But you did......"You're certainly not speaking for me nor a lot of others. ."
April 24, 201214 yr hello You will all end up buying it anyway, just like the Zero Not one non cockpit plane in my hanger, never will be.....next stop Alaska.....Maybe then I will spend some money again.
