April 24, 201214 yr Cockpit or not, I'll buy. ummm, they had Nav lights you know. And they have them exactly like that, on the top and bottom of the wing tips. I think you are the one that is out of touch. Hi.. I said "Turn them off".. I didn't say "Remove them because they don't have them" Nav lights on warbirds look as ridiculous as neon ground effects on muscle cars.. April 24, 201214 yr i agree, it's a theme along with hawaii, no reason to panic. Im also assuming they are trying to maximize the profits out of these models. Once there are more capable and in demand planes available in the market, the sales for these cockpitless warbirds will bottom out. And what other aircraft would be more appropriate to be without a cockpit? A vcless cessna is useless.
April 24, 201214 yr I already got a warbird, why buy another one? I wouldnt download it even if its free... Get on with it microsoft, or you´ll have a lot less users/players...
April 24, 201214 yr Commercial Member nd what other aircraft would be more appropriate to be without a cockpit? A vcless cessna is useless. Any vcless plane is useless.
April 24, 201214 yr Ditto. Mods, can you set up a new smiley for us, 'no cockpit, no buy', will save us alot of typing! LOL, to right, too funny! hello You will all end up buying it anyway, just like the Zero Not I, don't have the Zero and won't have this on my HD if no VC. A matter of principle with me. man, I REALLY hope it has a nice VC, will renew my interest (and faith) in Flight. Best, Michael KDFW
April 24, 201214 yr Ditto. Mods, can you set up a new smiley for us, 'no cockpit, no buy', will save us alot of typing! That is so true! Cockpits are a must! Happy Flying, Clem Wu Beta Tester for OZx, Iris Simulations and Shade.
April 24, 201214 yr I already got a warbird, why buy another one? er, because some people like choice? Because some people like the look and sound of them? Because many young customers can ONLY afford the inexpensive DLC? Applying your logic one might question the need for ever owning more than one 'passenger jet' to fly...
April 24, 201214 yr Commercial Member That is so true! Cockpits are a must! Agreed ! but it sell better without one - it is cheaper to make it without one - so.............
April 24, 201214 yr Cockpitless or detailled, I'll have one of those.... Last night I tried some really fun aerobatics with the Zero... Whow! Tell me the FM in FLIGHT isn't really a very tunned up version of what we had in FSX and even fs9... It's been a longtime since I last played CFS2, but I believe that FLIGHT's FM is a lot closer to what we had there than either fs9 or fsx... April 24, 201214 yr hello You will all end up buying it anyway, just like the Zero Nope, I won't buy anything for a flight sim without a cockpit, and that is certainly not because it is a warplane either. I bought JF's Mitsubishi A6M a couple of days ago, and pre-ordered their Lightning F6, and have most of A2A's warplanes too, including their P-40. I've bought all the other stuff for Flight apart from those cockpitless affairs. The Maule and the RV, and the Island scenery extensions were all worthy efforts; putting a taildragger without a cockpit into Flight turns it into Hello Kitty Island Flying Game, when it really does have the potential to be so much more than that, but if people buy into the no cockpit concept, they will only have themselves to blame if it continues to slip downhill. No cockpit, no sale. Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
April 24, 201214 yr Speaking of A2A... If only they started supporting BoB again.... Great sim, unfortunately, trashed long ago together with all of my flight simulation stuff :-( A2A's warplanes too Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
April 24, 201214 yr Bummer. I won't buy planes without a VC and I won't buy warplanes, so... I will have to wait yet another month before I can add something to my hangar... well, if the next plane is NOT a warbird and has a VC. I feel left behind in the cold... I expected lots of DLC after the initial release but I have been waiting for two months in vain now... I don't see a sign of Alaska yet, so it will be thee months after the release before I MAYBE will be able to buy some new DLC. That sucks big time... Instead of an online store filled with goodies, new ones every week (which I was hoping for) I MAYBE get one DLC in three months. MS is making it very hard for me to keep on promoting Flight...
April 24, 201214 yr I see that from a positive perspective... It's certainly going to be a complex and detailled add-on, so, better wait for them to release it as bug-free as possible, than get something like most add-ons I used to get to other simulators and then go through the long and painful process of patching instead of using.... Regarding the cockpitless planes, it's the pills most certainly, but I am loving it and I seriously believe that they make part of their roadmap, and I do believe it's not how many cockpitless DLCs we buy that will affect the availability of detailled aircraft... I support cockpitless DLCs because they are fun to fly, their FMs are far from being crap, and I believe I am suporting the future of FLIGHT that way, and really want it to be VERY BRIGHT!!!!
