We pride ourselves in being professional in every facet of our products and outward image, therefore this issue going public causes us great grief.
We will not say more at this time. Please keep speculation to a minimum. Seeing something being destroyed in the eyes of the public after a concentrated effort of years of development isheartbreaking
We have a reputation to maintain, and seeing it be torn to shreds in the matter of two days is far more crushing. Especially with regards to what we have in the pipeline.
We remain committed to the MiG-21 and are working hard to resolve this and move on. Please have faith in us.

Ok so the project is alive or at least breathing....coz if it's not, it's like running a marathon & quitting 10m before the finish line!

Kind regards

Yeah always thought this seemed like vapour wear, i am not surprised, after 3 years all we had were a couple of screen shots; very pleased i didn't buy into the beta.  It does make me very nervous around other DCS 3rd party projects.

Did you check the start up and take off video in the previous page? Also, they have released the most screenshots out of any unreleased 3rd party module, I wouldn't call that a couple.

i don't advise to buy beta aircrafts from dcs 3d parties except belsimtek.

Cenk Demir

Besiktas JK 1903

This is all pretty confusing right now.

The team leader has announced the project is on hold indefinitely. Another member of the team has publically stated the decision taken by the team leader was a unilateral one without consultation with the other devs and that as far as he's concerned the project will be completed and released. The Bezcl MiG-21bis forum over at the DCS website has been removed.

That isn't a good sign. If I had to take a stab in the dark I'd say somebody in the team has thrown their toys out of the pram.

This isn't good for anyone:

It's bad for the guys who put money down on the fund raiser for this. It's bad for any other third party devs who want to run a kickstarter type fund raiser in the future. It's bad for ED's strategy of opening up DCS to third party devs.

I really hope this gets sorted out but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Nick

From ED forums, they said, that they only have "masked" the thread until the Beczl studio has resolved their differences.

Anyway the statement from Beczl IMHO seems very childish & a desperate negotiation tool internally....I don't think he will abandon his hard work of 2 years that easily.

Kind regards

My mistake, a couple of pictures and a single (somewhat unimpressive) video of a take-off.

Don't get me wrong i very much wanted this addon, so far i have purchased every additional module, including the ridiculously out of place "Combined Arms" and the "P-51", i have never even used Combined Arms, i wanted to support ongoing development.  I would have purchased the Mig 21 in a flash if a beta had been released, but i won't purchase on vague promises, a t-shirt, promotional pictures....and of course a single video.

Again. It's the module with the most screenshots. There's a whole thread in this forum, we're posting in it right now, filled with pictures and more than a simple take off video (which they used to mostly show off the working cockpit). Actualy, there are 13 videos posted over the last year and a half. Wow, it's actualy a year and a half to the day, June 22 2012 was the date of the first video being posted. The actual module announcement was on May 2 of the same year. Which is a long long way off the 3 years you've said.

If you don't wanna skim this thread go here where all the videos can be found: http://www.dcs-mig21.com/video.htm

There might be one or two more videos, I'm not sure. Silver Dragon should know.

It seems the annunciation of stopping the project is withdrawn at official site. I guess, they are back on track.

I sure hope so. I have been looking forward to this aircraft for a while.

Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?

It seems the annunciation of stopping the project is withdrawn at official site. I guess, they are back on track.

But nothing at all is on the DCS site.  I feel sorry for the people who pre-purchased this not knowing if this is going ahead or not.

There will be a statement about the events that have transpired as soon as we are able.

Some of you will be satisfied, some of you will draw your own conclusions and some of you will want to know more.

What I can, and will tell you is the following:

Development of the MiG-21 and future product(s) has not stopped and you can all look forward to flying the MiG-21 soon.
