My mind is continually blown with NGX

Featured Replies

I cant stop flying the NGX. I have 300 plus hours in the last 6 months. Do I have a problem? I just flew from Kelowna to Edmonton with the Orbx NRM, Shade and ENB and did an instant replay in the wing view at sunset. I had to put on my shades from the glare off the wing, the dark Rockies a silhouette against the setting sun. Each flight makes me want to fly more. Is there a recovery center for people like me? With the Fs2crew voice the whole experience is so real and over the top. It has now become a 737 simulator and I cannot justifiably fly any other of my payware aircraft. I remember when the LDS 767 was the greatest thing and it still is a fantastic aircraft but since the release of the NGX I now have this limiting problem where I can't bring myself to fly it, or anything else.

Now I find myself counting down the days for the 777 and 747v2. After they are released I may just rot in my bedroom.

Are you addicted to the point that family and friends are being pushed back (no pun intended) to second and you can't live more than 5 minutes without the NGX? If yes, you have a problem. I am sure that there has to be some AA (no pun intended)-type rehab program available.

Just the way I feel. They should have written in the EULA that there's a great chance that you become addicted to this bird :LMAO:

BTW, don't worry I still have friends :drinks:

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

I am just on my second flight and my wife is not amused!! I've been nose deep in manuals.

I set time aside (usually after hours) for simming so that PC gaming won't derail any part of real life.

For now...Mwahahah

All my mates and missus think I'm completely mad, to the point that, whenever I fly in RL for work now, I get the mick taken to the point of extreme annoyance..Chris Joker's Wild signature conveys the message I get: "stewardess, I have flight experience"..I am contiually being sent youtube videos of plane crashes (bad taste, I know, but I have those kind of friends LOL)

My advice? Ignore them, Close the flightdeck door; crank that starter switch over and fire up engine no.2

That would be Stevo! Stevo does not say much on long flights. I can't get him to make small talk back no matter what I do, he just says "check". If I sneeze he says "check". For your only friend I think thats a good one, no arguments right?

I have not been outside since October 2011 :)

System specs: Dual core E6300 (1.86g X 2), 2gb RAM, nvidea7800GT, Saitek yoke, CH throttle (6 lever), Soundblaster live.
Add-ons: FSX: LDS767, FSL Concorde, FT E175/195, PMDG 747X/737X, Active Sky E, some freeware airports.
Human specs: Desktop simulation since FS1, beta tester (LDS, FSL), 737NG simulator tech (Threshold Aviation), r sole+.

This is a healthy addiction right? It helps to develop good hand-eye-coordination, very important these days. :Hypnotized:

I too have fallen victim to this predicament and the first was the PMDG J41. Flew it religiously for more than 6mos. Now it's the NGX and I can't see myself flying any other airliner add-on until the T7 is released. Then it will be the T7 variants and then the 747v2 (my first 747 payware) which I'm really looking forward to.

Yessir, I'm a serious PMDG a really excited user. My $ stays here. :yahoo:
