May 20, 201214 yr Just making a post to say how impressed I am with their service. I've only purchased a few things from them, but recently I purchased FS Panel studio. Silly me thought I could edit gauges in the VC with it, but then found it only worked with the "window" section of panel.cfg. I should have done more research but asked or a refund because it didn't suit my specific need. They refunded me within a day, and on a Saturday! I'll be trying to buy through them when I can in future and might look into getting their Cessna Mustang soon too.
May 20, 201214 yr Taipan, I can't agree more. There are few companies I would buy from with my eyes closed and Flight1 is sure one of them. It must be also one of the oldest on the net (for flightsim stuff anyway) because I have been buying from them and through them for about as long as I can remember. Good to know, and maybe you don't realise this but there are quite a number of developers who sell their produts through the Eselling software of Flight1. (First one to come to mind is RealityXP, known for their more than excellent GPS) If you start looking into other addon's, keep that in mind. The money back guarantee is always there. May 20, 201214 yr Author Yep I noticed that, I got the RXP gns530 from them on Friday too, that's why I've been fiddling with Panels ;) Also the RV-7 and a few other things before I registered. I noticed their prices are good too compared to the other online retailers, eg Panel studio
May 20, 201214 yr I Agree,I've bought many great products from them over the yrs and only had to use the 30 day money back guarantee once.Fantastic service! 100%75%50%d8a34be0e82d98b5a45ff4336cd0dddc Patrick

FS Panel Studio can and does allow one to edit virtual cockpit sections of a panel.cfg file! Part of your omitted research should have included a search of the Aircraft and Panel Design forum here at AVSIM, or at the very least asking someone there about it... What it cannot do is to create new virtual cockpit sections. For that, one has to load the panel.cfg file into notepad, enter in the [VCockpitnn] headers manually, save the panel.cfg, and then load the edited panel.cfg into FSPS. Also, when loading any panel.cfg file, you won't "see" the virtual cockpit sections until you've first loaded and displayed one of the [Windowsnn] sections... ...at that point, you will see the virtual cockpit sections in the drop-down list. :Nerd: I've been a very happy user of FS Panel Studio for well over a decade now. I use it nearly every day for my professional work and frankly would have a tough time without it! I particularly like the "life-time free upgrades" as a registered licensee of the program. :Peace: Fr. May 20, 201214 yr I lurv FS Panel Studio. :) It's handy tool. I have been using the FS9 Aeroworx King Air in FSX and other FS9 aircrafts to work in FSX by swapping non working gauges with other addon aircraft gauges. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

When I looked at the list, it only listed Window sections i.e. 2D panels. If I had've tried again on the same one I guess I would have seen the VC panels?? The plane has the entries in there already, I just couldn't select them to edit. I did do a search, but it was a google search not an avsim search unfortunately. The 3 pages I looked at all had people saying they couldn't do it and needed the model to edit in order to get around to that.. Guess I shouldn't believe everything I read on the internet! Could have saved me the 5 hours I spent updating my plane panels manually. Anyway I've done all the edits by hand now, but if I come to need it again I might just repurchase it and look at your tutorials.

I downloaded the FS Studio Panel demo and to be quite honest, am astounded at the rather "horrendous" workflow at editing a VC with this. :help: The virtual cockpit sections do seem to appear on the list, but when loaded, appear as a black background with some aircraft gauges, and their positioning seem to have no relevance to the layout of the actual avionics/gauges in the VC. Is this seriously the best software out there for editing the layout of a current FSX VC? I just can't imagine Carenado and PMDG relying on this tool for that. Cheers, Jerome
July 17, 201213 yr hello It is a superb program and really easy to use, but you do have to work with it for a while to learn all it can do. you can place gauges in the VC just fine though, just needs a bit of patience
