June 12, 201213 yr Maybe just a hidden wish from me, but i think it fits well into Flight. Flying as bush pilot in south america, this is even more bush flying than Alaska. There is a italian movie from the 70`s about bush pilots flying in brasil, amazonas area. I watched this movie thousand times when i was a child. And i think this movie made me addicted to aircrafts and aviation. The movie is called All The Way, Boys Watch complete movie here: http://www.dailymoti...boys_shortfilms It is/was very famous in italy and germany. A lot of slapstick and nice old aircrafts. Short scene with german dubbed voice. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-gQRnjpsDA Soundtrack: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFto_NgmFGE And here an example of bush flying in south america today.

June 12, 201213 yr So then the clandestine missions would involve smuggling cocaine or hostages for the FARC? I'm down.
June 12, 201213 yr It would be disturbing--even in a virtual setting--to see the destruction of the Amazon rain forest.
June 13, 201213 yr Heimi, your wish is my wish too! That would be incredible to fly over South America! --------------- PS: I´m sorry to get off topic, but i´ll ask you guys to be REALLY careful when talking about other regions and nations! Cocaine and hostages? The "destruction of the Amazon" talk again? Things are not perfect here but for decades they say that the amazon will be completely destroyed....well, check out google earth or any other source...the Amazon is still there! A lot has changed in South America my friends...A LOT!
June 13, 201213 yr The Amazon is still there because it is massive , but it`s being destroyed at an alarming rate. The Amazon is the lungs of the Earth and we are destroying it. http://rainforests.m...ml#colonization Great idea for DLC though. Doubt it will happen in my lifetime though!
June 13, 201213 yr The Amazon is the lungs of the Earth and we are destroying it. It is NOT! The OCEAN is the "lung of the Earth"... The amazon forest is an old and very stable system in equilibrium...it takes as much CO2 from the atmosphere during the day ("converting to O2) as it takes O2 from the atmosphere during the night "converting" it to CO2 - see biology 101.............growing CROPS take more CO2 from the atmosphere than a forest already in equilibrium... The Amazon is still there because it is massive , but it`s being destroyed at an alarming rate. To big of an answer...try checking the history of environmental protection in Brazil since 1981...you will start seeing what has been done (and accomplished) about that "alarming" rate......and by the way, this website reports are not quite accurate...it mentions a problem that still happens in the "Cerrado" ecosystem witch is a very hot and dry ecosystem miles south of the amazon...nothing to do with the forest! ------------------------------- I´m sorry everyone, i am done with this argument....I know that this is not the place for this...my point is...never talk about what you don´t know for a fact! Keep on flying!
June 13, 201213 yr Guys, I hate arguments because we are here to share our enthusiasm and joy about a video game. As for destruction of the environment, I grew up on the East coast USA (New Jersey, but I don't brag about it) so I know something about destroying the environment. Every time I see the region, I imagine what it was before it was totally built over. And this is valid for the entire country. The same goes for the pleasant green downs above Dover that were once abundant forest, or the lovely valleys of Switzerland, also once living breathing forest. Check out the clear cuts in the Pacific Northwest of North America if you want to see wanton destruction. And where are the magnificent prairies of the Midwest? Gone, gone forever. My point is that all the developed countries have destroyed, in very large measure, their environment, in order to create their wealth, to exploit their riches, to build roads, and schools, hospitals, homes, and malls (I mean "gallerias") Now, we want to deny to Brasil and Indonesia and China what we did to our lands, they should just stay poor and preserve their forests when we did not. I don't have a solution, but placing the blame on them is not it. Before we cast stones... As for the original suggestion, I couldn't agree more. Some of my more important projects are in South America: - Tierra del Fuego, all of it. What an exciting place to fly. - the Tepui of Venezuela, that is Angel's Fall for those who know it by that name - the Maya temples in ruins and those that are partially rebuilt - the Sierra Madre Occidental in Mexico, whose gorges are bigger, longer, and deeper than the Grand Canyon in Colorado, believe it or not. :Hypnotized: I wish that Joshua would open up development to people like me so that I could put these projects on the Marketplace and make lots of money. :LMAO: Oh, yes, Joshua, I also have a large part of the Caribbean, South Florida, Gibraltar... Just waiting for your go-ahead. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
June 13, 201213 yr - the Sierra Madre Occidental in Mexico, whose gorges are bigger, longer, and deeper than the Grand Canyon in Colorado, believe it or not. :Hypnotized: Didn't the Grand Canyon use to be in Arizona? Just curious, not for any special reasons...., but where might I find the Sierra Madre Occidental in Mexico? Guess I could use Google?
June 13, 201213 yr Just a "Senior" moment, Lance. You'll start to get some of those when you get to be my age! :LMAO: The Grand Canyon (Hopi: Ongtupqa; Yavapai: Wi:kaʼi:la) is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the United States in the state of Arizona. It is contained within and managed by Grand Canyon National Park, the Hualapai Tribal Nation, and the Havasupai Tribe. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of preservation of the Grand Canyon area, and visited it on numerous occasions to hunt and enjoy the scenery. It is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long, up to 18 miles (29 km) wide and attains a depth of over a mile (6,000 feet / 1,800 metres) Nearly two billion years of the Earth's geological history have been exposed as the Colorado River and its tributaries cut their channels through layer after layer of rock while the Colorado Plateau was uplifted. While the specific geologic processes and timing that formed the Grand Canyon are the subject of debate by geologists, recent evidence suggests the Colorado River established its course through the canyon at least 17 million years ago. Since that time, the Colorado River continued to erode and form the canyon to its present-day configuration. Wikipedia Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!

June 15, 201213 yr The DLC would be rated T for drug references!!!! :LMAO: In other words, no Bolivia, Ecuador or Colombia in that sense :LMAO: "It goes without saying that when survival is threatened, struggles erupt between peoples, and unfortunate wars between nations result." -HIDEKI TOJO
