June 13, 201213 yr I don't think this has been brought up before, but what do you think about the chances of reproducing the -300ER's taxi maneuvering camera on PMDG's subsequent expansion of the base 777? If you've seen pictures, it involves using the display unit in the center pedestal. From an FSX persepective, it would mean joining 3 different outside views on that display. I also wonder about the FPS impact. Just curious. I think it would be a nice feature. June 14, 201213 yr I believe it´s doable but in the end it will come down to a cost x benefit analysis in regards to the fps hit. I´d love it personally. However I doubt PMDG would implement it as a static view just for eye candy if there is no functionality involved. Refer to the Wx radar debate and you´ll catch my drift. Cheers,Victor M. Lima
June 14, 201213 yr PMDG pushed the envelope with the HUGS in the NGX, even though IRL it's a rare option so I think we will likely see the manoeuvring camera as a "showpiece" feature for the 777, in order to differentiate themselves from the PSS and Captainsim products. VRS had something similar (FLIR Camera?) for their F-18, so it's not impossible.
