Something in this line is what we want for ALASKA!

If MS Flight did something similar for the Alaska release, there'd be dancing in the streets!

There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.

Yep!, Me too, and kissing everyone in my way home... including my boss

Ya that would be cool.

Gotta say though....those pics made me appreciate Flight's graphics even more...

+1 ;-)

Not to mention the FD, although I haven't had any chance to test that bird on xp10.... But then again, it has a basic AP, which I believe will not ve available for MS FLIGHt Alaska, and a GPS (maybe we will get one of these :-)))

I was thinking about that when I was gathering together some in game pics yesterday. The cockpits (those which exist) are incredibly detailed and high resolution, and look great even when zoomed in to the max. Whatever the other merits of the plane pictured (and I am sure there are many) the zoomed cockpit shots show pretty much what I have come to expect as standard in FSX/Xplane rather than what I have been spoiled with in flight.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

The otter would be nice but I would prefer a Grumman Albatros… It is faster, hauls a larger load, and most importantly has the range to reach Honolulu from Dutch Harbour.

Although it’s a very nice model, one really glaring error is the mismatch in the width of the S-Tec 55X and the GNS 530.

Most aircraft avionics have a standard panel rack width of 6.25″, which clearly is not the case here. Either the GNS 530 is too small or the S-Tec 55X is too large…

When viewed against the standard sized analog instruments, it would appear that both units are out of scale...

Anyway, and from the review, it performs ok in the xp10 platform, and, when I was a xp user, I bought a couple of Peter's creations, and was very satisfied with it.

One of these for Alaska would be great, one of the models at least, even if not the PT-6 (a free-running turbine might bring the associated bug that plagues both MSFS9andX as well as XP9and10 because they don't really know how to model that type of engine....)

It's ok, but I'm not too keen on the cartoon graphic cockpit.

Indeed! I'd gladly accept a "cartoon" cockpit rather than having none.

There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.

Don't say that too loudly...

Don't get me wrong, I still prefer a decent VC (where "decent" means similar to the Maule/RV-6). But for the warbird toys, I'd prefer a rudimentary cockpit over nothing.

There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.
