June 23, 201213 yr Hi! Great pics. FsX can really produce amazing realism with the correct addons. Many thanks, Pierre
June 24, 201213 yr truly amazing shots. :D may I ask whether you have any custom anti aliasing settings in play here Are you on Nvidia or ATI? No matter how hard I try I can't seem to get a shot with the same level of 'beauty' as you can. Things just look a little jaggy and unfocused for me IMO or do you think i'm being too critical? EG, best I can get, everything maxed (unplayable FPS)
June 24, 201213 yr Author V4moose, looks like a very nice picture to me, but I see what you mean about the anti-aliasing. Both my computer (Quad 2.6) and my video card (nVidia 9600GT) are pretty much out of date. I use the nHancer settings from Nick that were widely discussed a couple years ago. Hope this helps. John
June 25, 201213 yr I just tuned my system with instructions from this today. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/370594-read-before-posting-software-hardware-guide-for-fsx/ The difference was quite remarkable in FPS which enabled me to turn on more and more enhancements. I did it one step at a time, shutting down FSX and restarting afterward to see the effect. I haven't added all of the enhancements he suggests quite yet, though most of them I did. I hardly ever flew up in my Orbx PNW area because the performance was, at times, pretty bad. Today I had it cranked up high and was still at my framerate max right around 30. Even the J41 flew smoothly. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090
