Most of his almost 4 thousand posts were dedicated to helping other simmers.

He not only has a great knowledge of both the sim and all hardware and software related problems, but also represents a very rare today manner of always being unbelievably polite.

An Einstein of knowledge and an Einstein of friendliness at the same time!

I vote for Geofa. He's a very balanced person and very knowledgeable of both RL and simulated aviation.

Geofa is staff, so he is ineligible.

Just to ask before I nominate, by staff, does that mean the staff with the red banner on the side of posts, or does that mean anyone with the orange "Commercial Member" thing on their profile?

Sorry, didn't know "staff" included moderators as well. Then I'll vote Cessnaflyer for the same reasons, I find his posts enjoyable and balanced, and he's a knowledgeable person in aviation.

If they have a red "sash" saying STAFF in the upper right hand corner of their post, then they are staff.

In that case I'd like to nominate Tabs, AKA Ryan from PMDG.

Whether it be a problem with one of their products or just something FS in general he is always helpful. His guide on Nvidia drivers has helped a whole load of people in this community, and he's always willing to advise those who are taking the steps to build their own custom computers. He's always quick to respond and always fair in his moderation of the forum.

Thank you for the vote! I try to help as much as possible from all my GA, corporate and airline jobs I have had.

Since I can't nominate myself :P I would have to vote for Ronan O Cadhain (sorry for anglifying your name, I suck at working the keyboard) He most likely has a lot more time in the airlines and has the Oceanic experience I lack.

For staff it would be a tie between Geof and Al. Both very knowledgeable. Although Geof might win out because he took his Baron on a trip to my wonderful region! :LMAO:

I'm honored, thank you.

As for staff, I do wish we could nominate them, as Al [Chock] certainly deserves an award like this for all the time, effort and information he puts into this community, but rules be rules.

I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

I nominate Holger Sandmann for the Einstein Award because his masterful mesh contributions to freeware and payware scenery projects make flight simulator that much more realistic and enjoyable to fly in. He is also a valued contributor to the Avsim forums;always willing to help with other's concerns and provide accurate responses that are easily understood. There are others deserving of this award and I hope they will be recognized too!

Jim

Oops! forgot to add Holger Sandmann (Holger).
