Yes MV, one reason I post other sim details to our blog is to give Laminar a swift kick to get them to realise that they only have a limited window of opportunity to snare the market. I fear that their lack of investment is leaving them behind. It's systems and physics are damned good, they have a very flexible scenery system, it just needs some more resources and talent thrown at it.

Hubba on the white goose!

Some nice picks so far! Im suprised to see so many G-21 Goose picks as there are not a lot left. Never really picked it out as a bush aircraft as much as something like the Twin Otter or Beaver. Do they fly a lot of them in Alaska?

I took this picture at the Ramp area at Lake Hood some years ago.

The goose on the left is the one that was used in FSX for reference. =) Sadly I dont think Antillies still makes the G-21G conversions.

I think that you are right. They haven't updated their website since 2007

Twin Otter, Caravan, Dash 8, Beechcraft 1900, Piper Tomahawk, Cessna 172.

Pretty sure they bankrupted and assets were sold off.

Beaver, wheels & floats

Caravan

Twin radial anything (although I acknowledge that there is likely to be a Baron before that...)

Mike Dryden

Oh, I left out a Baron... not that I think we will get a twin anytime soon, but I do believe that would be a great pick for Flight's first twin.

Is this a known fact?

The teaser image is a perfect match for the Carbon Cub instrument panel.

The turbine Goose conversion is an abomination. Like putting a Honda engine in a Harley. The company that made them offered the option to use radial engines, and there were customers who bought them that way.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

After thinking about it more, I'm moving the Goose to the top of my wish list.

On the subject of Gooses (or Geese?), anyone read "Where is Joe Merchant" by Jimmy Buffett? Some fun (but very fictional) adventures flying around the Caribbean in a Goose.

The turbine Goose may not look as nice to some but its initial rate of climb is 800ft per minute faster. They both need nearly 3000 ft to clear fifty foot obstacles on take off. With all the lakes in Alaska the long take off run isn't really a factor.
