July 12, 201213 yr This is not going to be a patch, but a whole new model, like PMDG is doing with the 747-400 Are they charging for it? AJ Pongress
July 12, 201213 yr Are they charging for it? Yes according to their forum users, maybe the new version if it's better will be worth it though. http://www.captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1338960724 Now if Level D were to do a remake THAT is something I would buy
July 12, 201213 yr Both were flown with the same cost index 40, same as my test videos of the CS767 vs LDS-767. As further evidence, as shown in my test post, the PMDG 737-800NGX also at a cost index of 40 descent profile at 284kts down to 10000ft. The 737 NG and the 757 doesnt use the same cost index system. Are you freaking serious? This should be free. AJ Pongress
July 12, 201213 yr Wow....so they're leaving the current 757 broken and incomplete, but for more money you can get a "fixed" version? Are you freaking serious? This should be free. Broken? Incomplete? Now your making me laugh!!! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
July 12, 201213 yr The AT didn't cut out like I expected, but the speed mode did disengage on weight on wheels, so the effect is the same!! The VNAV issue though still remains. Again the descent rate was only 254 down to 10000ft. I use the CH throttle quadrent and passing 500ft AGL I retard them to idle, while leaving the AT engaged. I use SPEED mode and VREF around 140kts, and the AT always disengage here once the wheels touch. As far as descent, I use a CI of 80 normally and that gives me 292kts in the FMC VNAV page. However as soon as the descent is established, I switch to SPEED and VS modes, and set them to 290kts and 1500 FPM. I dont like VNAV or FLCH descents because the throttles 'chase' too much and are constantly spooling up and down. One other thing that could affect your speeds....if you are using a 'real' weather addon, be sure the temps at altitude are close to correct. Some addons will show positive numbers and that will definatly affect speeds. One other thing I do is usually start my descent 30 miles or so before the computed TD, as the TD is too close and results in a descent rate that is so steep it's difficult to slow down. Hope this helps ya a bit, the QW757 is my alltime fav plane, and I have a lot of others Jay
July 12, 201213 yr Broken? Incomplete? Now your making me laugh!!! Why are you trying so hard to defend CS, all I see about 757 is that it is incomplete and not as good as it should be. I don't get cs apologists, it seems like many of their products took years to become usable and yet they are still alive and continuing the same practice. :Worried:
July 12, 201213 yr Broken? Incomplete? Now your making me laugh!!! Yes. Broken. I installed all the patches, and my VNAV still doesn't perform correctly, autopilot doesn't follow the glideslope half the time on final, night panel lighting has a glitch, etc. You can defend them all you want. I paid for a product that isn't complete, and rather then finish it they're making another one and asking for more money. They aren't getting a single penny from me. AJ Pongress
July 12, 201213 yr Hello The CS 757 is broken, as in some systems do not work in a realistic manner. Looks nice though.
July 12, 201213 yr Why are you trying so hard to defend CS, all I see about 757 is that it is incomplete and not as good as it should be. I don't get cs apologists, it seems like many of their products took years to become usable and yet they are still alive and continuing the same practice. :Worried: VNAV works fine with me, same as I shown in the 767 videos. I did. I'm having trouble with my GameCam (video screen capture program) registration right now, else I would have no problem doing the same with the 757! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
July 13, 201213 yr VNAV works fine with me Lol. It works fine, yet just a few posts above you said you had a problem with it. The VNAV issue though still remains. Again the descent rate was only 254 down to 10000ft. Make up your mind. AJ Pongress
July 13, 201213 yr Lol. It works fine, yet just a few posts above you said you had a problem with it. Make up your mind. I was talking about the QW757 in that post!!! I never said I had a problem with the CS757 VNAV Why are you trying so hard to defend CS, all I see about 757 is that it is incomplete and not as good as it should be. I don't get cs apologists, it seems like many of their products took years to become usable and yet they are still alive and continuing the same practice. :Worried: and I don't get CS Flamers, they always only put up blanket statements like it's broken, it's crap, it's incomplete, never without specific proof! I put up a full flight video of the CS767, and willing to do the same for the CS757 showing none of these statements are true, (If I can get my video program registration straightened out.) and I'm an apologist? LET'S SEE SOME OF YOUR PROOF! I'm not talking about some unsubstantiated statements, let's see videos of what you think is wrong! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
July 13, 201213 yr You have your experiences, and I have mine. Mine are full of unpleasant flights in the CS757. I don't need to post proof of what I have already experienced. I don't need you to believe me or not. You're not the one selling the plane so proving anything to you won't change the quality of my current CS757 or the 757 they will release in the future. For me, I won't be buying anything else from that developer based on what I've experienced with them. AJ Pongress
