July 31, 201213 yr Ah yes the Olympics, I've some how managed to take time up until this Thursday off on a mix of leave and scheduled rest days, but after that I'm being flung on DUB-LON routes for a 7 day stint.... I haven't forgotten the deal about flashing the lights at you in LGW though, don't worry... Building just before the runway, slightly on the right, with a big number 4 on it? Ró Rónán O Cadhain.
July 31, 201213 yr Personally I'd have been happy to vacate the country while the Olympics were on. Just glad I don't live in London

Ró Number 5  Not that it matters as 4/5/6 are right next to each other. 26L approach, right next to the M23 (west side) before airport car parks, old country house (I think) converted to offices and units 4/5/6 are modern 2 storey glass fronted buildings tacked onto the right side of the old house. Personally I'd have been happy to vacate the country while the Olympics were on. Just glad I don't live in London  Honestly having been to the Excel on Sunday to see the weightlifting (men's 56kg) I can say it was great. Atmosphere was superb, very few empty seats as well...

In fairness, I was hardly gonna just pull over there mid-air, point the aircraft directly at your building and then carry on with my landing lol, It'll be a quick flick off and on, pointed at the runway hopefully if I'm lucky... Ró. July 31, 201213 yr Yes, the Olympics are really fun to watch. The only problem is that NBC is the channel that is broadcasting it. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB

If I could link to a video I've uploaded on facebook I'd be able to show you what it looked like!
July 31, 201213 yr Not available due to privacy settings... I think I can picture the buildings in my mind from memory anyway... Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.
July 31, 201213 yr http://www.facebook....50742884188851 Did that work? Yup, that was the building I had pictured in my mind. I'll give you a heads up if I can to let you know if I'm doing LGW, I've no lay-overs scheduled so that means that I'm either doing LGW or middle of the day LHR, or both.... Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.
July 31, 201213 yr I keep the Olympics on the TV more as background noise and look over whenever something exciting happens. This is the only time ever when people pay attention to something like Womens Weightlifting...LOL Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

July 31, 201213 yr This is the only time ever when people pay attention to something like Womens Weightlifting...LOL Funnily enough I just happened to flick on the TV for a moment, only for Womens Beach Volleyball to be on, the wife nearly ate my head off... It was only on for 30 seconds... :( Of course later on she saw no problem in her watching the Men's figure diving... :Waiting: Oh the joys of married life... Ró. Thanks! No bother. Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.
