I submitted a ticket no more than two hours ago with a very amateurish question regarding the EDS that PMDG supplies. I'm in the process of moving all my FSX over to another SSD and have uninstalled and reinstalled everything tonight. (Yeah, it's been a long night with a few beers.) I couldn't find my EDS link to re download the NGX base package so I submitted a ticket and figured I'd check my email tomorrow. Well, I'm still up and don't have to work tomorrow and lo-and-behold, PMDG has answered my ticket, supplied my NGX Base Package link to me and reinstated my 600/700 package link for free.

 

You guys rock. There's no other way to put it. I can't wait for the 777 to be on this hard drive, since I finally have a monster machine to run FSX. Time to go explore the North Island with the NGX!

I agree. Paul at PMDG has been amazing with my queries. I can tell they are really into this.

 

Feelthere. on the other hand....I sent them an email Friday at 1:00 A.M. requesting support for the installation because I bought their bundle Ejets and EMB v.2 for a whopping $60.86. The program wrecked my xml.dll file. I kind of got it fixed but am still having problems. I guess asking for a refund will be answered right away you think? Maybe they didn't get it. I don't know.

Don't want to spoil the fun as I am myself very very satisfied with PMDG's support structure and competency, but it has been said and asked numerous times not to use these boards to complain about other developpers... (and no I am not a moderator, but it gets kind of annoying sometimes)

There's no bashing going on so far as I can tell.

 

I think this is great info on PMDG and Phillip was simply relaying an experience without hyperbole.

 

FWIW I agree there are other forums here that are probably more appropriate for "spreading the word" regarding customer experiences with a different vendor.

I see it like that,

 

PMDG is the Boeing Juggernaut.

FSL and NLS should become the Airbus top dogs.

 

The wait is killing me for Airbus.

I wasn't bashing. I was venting. This thread seemed to me to be about customer service and not the actual product itself. I was simply comparing two vastly different experiences I've had. I only mentioned Feelthere because they are the only company I've dealt with who did not respond back timely. I've sent some other vendors pretty silly questions, in retrospect, and they've answered right away (thanks Paul). This issue with Feelthere is much more serious being that it disabled all my addons and still does not work properly (won't get into details here).

 

I was fair. At the end of my original post I stated that maybe they didn't get my email yet.

 

but, I hear you guys and I'll to be more precautious in how and where I post.

Phillip - send me your dll.xml in a ticket and I'll fix it. We're pretty much pros at fixing that file after all these years of installers like those messing it up.

Haven't tried it. It seems to be the older stuff like the 737PIC, ERJ etc that do it.

I also have to say that I have had many different questions over a period for Ryan and the team at PMDG, and have had to use the ticket system a few times with a few pretty silly questions of my own and taking the time zone differences into consideration (South Africa, GMT+2), their responses have been very quick and professional.

 

On more than one occasion I have received download links to the latest installer, all free of charge. I agree - PMDG is the best of the best when it comes to customer service!

I just wanted to take a moment and thank PMDG for their wonderful support last week. I was very pleased with how quickly and courteously Ryan and Paul handled my activation issue! I can honestly say that PMDG customer service is the best I've ever worked with, in FS or not.

 

A quick question: my father's account has been closed now, but if he ever wanted to gift me another PMDG product, would he and I need to request a merge of his new account and my account again? And how much is the reason for the transfer of the account details an issue with regards to the EULA?
