How much did you pay for your PMDG software?

Featured Replies

Many people often complain about how expensive software is and nagging about discount. But if you think how much you use it, what is the cost? I have only 747 so far (777 and 747v2 is on the list) and I have about 5 000 flying hours with it. 747 cost $55 new so total cost so far is 55/5000 = $0,01 per hour. How much have you paid for your PMDG software so far?

aren't the prices the same for everyone, i have never seen a PMDG sale online. BTW i think this thread will get locked due to the topic being related to $$$$.

well PMDG software is not that expensive you just need to see the quality of their products, and also just see how any new console games that will last you for 8/10 hours to complete and cost just the same price, while you can do just countless flights with one single purchase :)

I'd say though it's addons like that that makes you invest in other high quality software to go along with it, like TopCat or EFB and the likes.

As for price for time flown I really don't follow that but I'm sure it is quite a low one too :)

It's funny when the MD-11 came out the Australian dollar was so bad I had to pay approx $120 AUD for it, when the NGX came our dollar was so good in comparison it was around $65 AUD.....

This is the point that considering how much you use it it's very cheap and hopefully avoid at least one or two from talking about discounts.

i bought both versions fs9/fsx of their MD11 and 747 plus the NGX at regular US PRICES.

English is my third language, but is it that bad? All can see how much a new copy cost and it's same for all. Intention of the thread was to look how much/hour.

With Boxes and downloads, I've spent... Let's see. $310! Holy smokes, I've never crunched those numbers...

I could take it a step further and factor the PC I built almost specifically for the NGX. Or perhaps the US/South American airport scenery I purchased with the intention of flying the NGX into and out of. But I'll refrain. Money%20Eyes.gif

I reckon the T7 will have me purchasing European sceneries. Rolling%20Eyes.gif

Around 130 bucks for the NGX and the 747.

I was lucky to get the 747 box from Fry's for like $25. The NGX and JS4100 I paid full price for directly from the PMDG commerce site.

Yeah when I was in Canada last year I got the boxed 747-400X at London drugs for something like $20, I was quite pleased and surprised to see it on shelf.

I can't remember what I paid for the J41, it was regular retail price on the PMDG website.
