August 30, 201213 yr My point is that I'd rather not waste system resources on insignificant stuff. It's a moot point for me anyhow because 1. I may not even get the 777 because it won't have a 2D cockpit 2. If I do get the 777, I'm going to be flying the freighter anyway Paul
August 30, 201213 yr Everyone, relax! The person asking never wanted everyone to like and agree with what he wishes for. I think it'd be fantastic to see it in the sim - since I've seen it numerous of times from the inside & outside of the real aircraft in person! - Luke Pabari
August 30, 201213 yr I don't know, perhaps cockpit mood lighting would be good. Just you and a fetching first officer, a nice bottle of something and the night but a pup - it all speaks to me. Why are there no romantics left anymore? Gerry

I laughed my head off because I thought the OP wanted not just the cabin modeled, but also to spice it up with mood lighting. But now I see where he's coming from, and though I don't care much about it, I think if PMDG can, and wants to do it, they should go right ahead. Imagine if I posted a topic "Don't waste system resources modeling the freighter because I won't be flying it anyways"? Chidiebere Anyahara
August 31, 201213 yr I never said they shouldn't do it, but from a pilot's point of view it's kind of silly. Most of the time the pilot's don't even know if the plane has mood lighting, and all of the time, they don't care. As a passenger, I think it's quite nice. As a pilot, I couldn't give a hoot whether or not the FA has the mood lighting on or off. On your freighter comment, I honestly wouldn't care if a freight variant is modelled or not. The differences between a freighter and passenger aircraft are nominal from a pilot's point of view. The systems are essentially identical. On the 777, I imagine the most obvious differences will be with the fire suppression system, and perhaps the packs. I would prefer a freighter, but as the biggest difference is outside the plane, and I'm inside the plane, I wouldn't die. I'd rather see a product with a 100% (or as close as FS can get) accurate cockpit than one with superfluous eye-candy. But like I said earlier, this is purely academic, as I have no plans to buy the VC-only 777. Paul
August 31, 201213 yr I'd rather see a product with a 100% (or as close as FS can get) accurate cockpit than one with superfluous eye-candy. We can have both, times are gone where we have to pick one or another even with basic computers that are from the past couple years. But like I said earlier, this is purely academic, as I have no plans to buy the VC-only 777. Use EZ dock and you will have the beauty of a VC with the ease of 2d panels. I used to be a die hard 2d guy but after discovering EZ dock I never want to go back to 2d. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight

All im asking for is IF we may have the ability to have it blue or purple. NO modelling or frame rates involved; just a change of colour. No need to call anything superfluous and as Alex Jevdic said technology is advanced enough for us to have both. Moreover, the forums are supposed to be where members can post SUGGESTIONS about features before the product is released. Im not asking for a new model or an EFB, as many of you have been asking for lately (which PMDG will make anywa) Thank you and good day Flying Tigers Group
September 1, 201213 yr I'm glad I don't live in a world where I have to disparage another person's ideas that I may not necessarily find important to me, despite them not having any negative effect on me. It makes me feel like I respect that others have differing opinions on matters, and yet we all can still breathe the same air. -Jon Dodds "No matter how eloquent you are or how solidly and firm you've built your case, you will never win in an argument with an idiot, for he is too stupid to recognize his own defeat." ~Anonymous.

September 11, 201213 yr Author Hi There. I Was Just Going Through This Topic....I Hope This Will Help. http://forum.avsim.n...-virtual-cabin/ Enjoy Sameer R Mankame Yea thats the idea! Maybe there can be a line in the cfg where u can enter what colour you want the lights to be so like '200' for blue, '300' for purple or something Flying Tigers Group

Maybe there can be a line in the cfg where u can enter what colour you want the lights to be so like '200' for blue, '300' for purple or something That would be great and I would pretty much use blue all the time lol Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
September 13, 201213 yr I'm sure the night lighting will be just as good if not better than the NGX. I can't wait for that! Love my nightly long haul departures! Cheers, Tino Sante Sottile
