August 22, 201213 yr I brought up the dome light rebuttle one time during a night flight and the FA never bothered me again. Yeah I should have used it, I will next time (politely). Jay Vorkapic
August 22, 201213 yr Mood lighting is probably one of the best things invented from a passengers pov. Much nicer being woken up in a warm, calm atmosphere than bright white lights all switching on. I think it'd look pretty cool as you can see it from the outside on the ground. - Luke Pabari
August 22, 201213 yr Maybe the PMDG 777 will come with a virtual reality lava lamp for those who want mood lighting.

Yea looking at virgin america A320's at night while walking on the ramp is pretty neat, you can even see the pink/purplish hue through the shades. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
August 22, 201213 yr Go buy Microsoft Passenger Simulator X when it comes out. Heard you can be a passenger on everything from a Train to a airplane. Maybe you can ask for it then. When they could not animate stuff in the cockpit on the NGX because of Limitations in FSX, I'd rather see that they use those limitations on the extern, and where you sit 80-95% of you'r time in the simulator . The Cockpit. Light on, Light off, Light in that %. Thats good enough for ME. Set ur sim up and fly in the sunset and you have the colors. tadaa. But again. The forums is here for the customers to get to the team. Why not come up with ideas? So rep to the first post for getting it up! Kind regards Joakim Hagen
August 23, 201213 yr I dunno about you guys, but every time I've been in an airliner at night, the cabin lights are off. So you wouldn't see much outside the windows during flight... When I flew on the Qantas A380 they turned the lights into a deep purple and dimmed them a bit. Made it nice and dark for those who wanted to sleep, but still enough light to avoid tripping over stuff in the aisle. I'm assuming the new Boeing Sky interior would / could do something similar. August 26, 201213 yr Holy cow, what are they gonna ask for next?? :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO: Chidiebere Anyahara
August 26, 201213 yr Think emergencies, guys. At night our eyes have to adjust to darkness. Now imagine evacuating from a bent up aircraft that went from lights on to utter darkness. You'd be effectively blind. It's the same reason red lights or very dim bulbs are used for most GA aircraft. So our eyes (or the photo-receptive "rods" in our eyes) are adjusted to the darkness for traffic avoidance, etc. That's why the lights are switched off during take-off and landing. However during cruise that's not really the reason. With just about any conceivable emergency during cruise, either it's going to be a while before you land and they can let your eyes adjust during that time, or the crash is not survivable. August 29, 201213 yr I never saw the point, but I could understand wing views. Now we want mood lighting? What's next, the galleys have to be modelled as well? We've moved from Flight Sim to Flight Attendant Sim... Paul
August 29, 201213 yr Commercial Member This thread literally made me LOL. :LMAO: What next? Virtual lavatories with fart sounds? Regards, Efrain RuizLiveDISPATCH @ http://www.livedispatch.org (CLOSED) ☹️
August 29, 201213 yr This thread literally made me LOL. :LMAO: What next? Virtual lavatories with fart sounds? I wonder if that will be simulated on the 777, especially on those long flights where everyone is asleep in the cabin, and all you hear is snoring and, er, "other" sounds? Ron Priever

We've moved from Flight Sim to Flight Attendant Sim... Paul When you fly the NGX at night you see all the yellow light coming out of the window. Is it really that strange that some people thought, it would be cool if on the 777 we can make that blue or purple, just like in real life. I mean I'm not one of them, but if someone wants to tell PMDG that they would like that as a feature and could PMDG please consider it, then I don't see the point in complaining about it. John-Alan Pascoe
August 29, 201213 yr Exactly, people just want to see it from the exterior they never asked for an interior to be modeled. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
