August 24, 201213 yr Commercial Member PMDG does not have a Beta. They go right from Alpha to Ludicrous and finally to Plaid. Kyle Rodgers
August 24, 201213 yr I used to think that, until I came here and started reading some of the posts here on the forum. LOL Whenever I fly in Europe, I usually have to use text because of their thick accent =) I flew in Europe a few times and it was difficult understanding many of the controllers due to their thick accents on the radio and again I often use text when flying in the US due to the controller's thick American accents. C'mon guys, what is this about. Isn't it the accents that make the experience more realistic, like not having a Texan accent when appraoching Amsterdam or Frankfurt. Do you think in real life you will get American controllers when appraoching Paris or Rome? I already see the UAL captain telling FRA or MUC appraoch "you rather have a thick german accent. please give your mobile number so I can text you" Just my thoughts. Don't reply this post by telling me European controllers are still in Beta. Ralf Medernach

European controllers are good its just I personally have a difficult time since pilot clients and headsets are not as good as the real world equipment so the voice transmission isn't top notch. I even have a hard time understanding some US controllers although thats only once in awhile. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
August 24, 201213 yr Commercial Member since pilot clients and headsets are not as good as the real world equipment You must've never flown the ma and pa flight school special... Just because it's 'real world' doesn't make it better than VATSIM. I flew a 2004 C172S (yep 2004!) and the whole time I had to keep messing around with the radio to get it to broadcast properly. I was flying into IAD that day, too. Not a good time to have your comms get messed up. Kyle Rodgers

August 24, 201213 yr So, on topic, could Rob or anyone actually like, give a hint on beta? Can we maybe, possible think of flying her around Christmas? :) Marc M.
August 24, 201213 yr Commercial Member So, on topic, could Rob or anyone actually like, give a hint on beta? Haha. Seriously? Kyle Rodgers
August 25, 201213 yr Gents, I have a sneaky impression it isn't that long...just my gut feeling..AAL270 wasn't a PMDG B772 Beta as far as I can find out but never know ;) Marc M.
August 25, 201213 yr There are other 777s people can fly....just cause you see a T7 doesn't mean they're a beta tester If I were a tester I wouldn't put that it was the PMDG I'd be bombarded with messages. Lee Sent using Tapatalk
August 25, 201213 yr I thought everyone knew that PMDG kept the better (beta - get it???) testers all to themselves!!! Matthew Bellette
August 25, 201213 yr If someone wrote "level D" in their remarks would you think it's a new level D product? Regardless they're all under an NDA to keep their mouth shut. Wishful thinking! Dev Singh
August 26, 201213 yr IIRC, when they were beta-testing the NGX, there were reports of planes parked at the airports, awaiting the first glimpse of the aircraft. Ron Priever
