August 23, 201213 yr This drives me insane over in Europe. I never think to print off the zoomed in charts and always go crazy trying to find the signs on the airport that say link 22 etc. Hahaha! So normal to me ;-) When I landed at LAX once a controller started giving me my taxi instructions after the nose wheel touched down. Had a go at me because I didn't vacate when he asked as I was slowing through 80knts.. Yeah Europe is definitely better ;-) - Luke Pabari

Yeah reminds me of the guy I heard claiming he couldn't do a visual approach because it wasn't in his FMS database.... *sigh* | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Had a go at me because I didn't vacate when he asked as I was slowing through 80knts.. Yeah Europe is definitely better ;-) I never liked flying into LAX to begin with, the controllers always seemed to be a bit short on patients. That's why I love flying out of Chicago and the eastern-midwest region of the US as they are professional but they never bothered me until I was complete with my landing roll. I flew in Europe a few times and it was difficult understanding many of the controllers due to their thick accents on the radio and again, it seem like the controllers in my area have a bit more tolerance than over there. August 23, 201213 yr I never had a problem with the controllers when flying into LAX, though they can be tough at times. Personally, I love flying in the NY area. Whenever I fly in Europe, I usually have to use text because of their thick accent =) Yeah reminds me of the guy I heard claiming he couldn't do a visual approach because it wasn't in his FMS database.... *sigh* :LMAO: Chris Ferguson PC Specs(Rebuilt 1/11/19): i7-9700K - Non-OC'd, EVGA RTX 2080ti, G.Skillz 16GB Ram 3000mhz, EVGA SuperNOVA 1000w PSU, Cooler Master ML360R, ASRock Phantom Gaming 4 MoBo, 2x 2TB HDD, 1x 1TB Samsung EVO SSD, 1x 220GB WD SSD

August 23, 201213 yr Commercial Member No....whos on first...........lol Glad someone caught where I was going with that. Writing "PMDG" in the remarks of your FPL on VATSIM is basically saying to ATC, "I can fly anything you throw at me". I used to think that, until I came here and started reading some of the posts here on the forum. ...Or it indicates a pilot who cannot follow any instruction that deviates them from the magenta line. Exactly - it runs the entire range. Kyle Rodgers
August 23, 201213 yr Yeah reminds me of the guy I heard claiming he couldn't do a visual approach because it wasn't in his FMS database.... *sigh* Visual approaches aren't going to be in the 777 FMS???? Man, and here I thought you guys were thorough :LMAO: (JK obviously :P ) Glenn Davy

August 23, 201213 yr I meant more on the lines of being able to fly SID/STARs or routing direct to way point X. You could easily do all 3 with the help of charts but it usually throws people off. Dev Singh
August 23, 201213 yr PMDG does not have a Beta. They go right from Alpha to Ludicrous and finally to Plaid. Eric
