August 24, 201213 yr I have just tried to download the C310 from Flight1 and get a "This file contains Trojan Horse virus". Anyone experienced this or experiencing it now? Certainly don't want to continue if the file contains the virus. Jas Jaseman. Lovin it up here........ Catch us over at MassieSim32 -> https://discord.gg/B4buuHGhcr
August 24, 201213 yr A false positive.... what AV are you running? I'm using MSE and it detected no issues. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 24, 201213 yr This is a widely known false positive issue. It is documented on the Flight One website. Thousands upon thousands of satisfied payware customers have experienced the same false alert and took the steps necessary to install the product and had a very happy experience doing so. Cheers, Ken
August 24, 201213 yr Commercial Member I'm curious as to how many people try to download, get the warning and stop right there...???? August 24, 201213 yr I'm curious as to how many people try to download, get the warning and stop right there...???? That's what scares me. And how many people are running draconian AV software and living with it. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
August 24, 201213 yr Author I'm using AVG. Keep getting the threat warning and won't allow me to download. It just stalls. Jaseman. Lovin it up here........ Catch us over at MassieSim32 -> https://discord.gg/B4buuHGhcr
August 24, 201213 yr One thing I dont understand is that supposedly thousands of users have experienced this false positive, but for some reason AV software still flags Flight1's wrapper as a virus. Have there been no communication with these companies in regards to adding the Flight1 wrapper to the whitelist, or are these companies simply ignoring requests? What is the name of the antivirus packages that flags this as a virus? vatsim s3

August 24, 201213 yr This false positive can occur if your AV detection settings are set a to very high levels of sensitivity If you have, for example, enabled scan for (PUPS)potentially unwanted applications, then some AV engines will detect this exe, among others,as a threat. Nevertheless this is definitely a false detection! Cheers. DIMITRI
August 24, 201213 yr Commercial Member What we recommend is that you turn off all antivirus prior to downloading, do the download, do the install and then, turn your antivirus on. You may scan freely (and even delete) after that but... F1's DRM systems generate that false positive. We know, they know, even AVG knows... but they won't change their algorithm... Alternatively, you can buy it here.... Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. August 24, 201213 yr Author Thanks for that. I will have a look through settings and see if I can download it. Jas Jaseman. Lovin it up here........ Catch us over at MassieSim32 -> https://discord.gg/B4buuHGhcr
August 24, 201213 yr eset detects it as a virus also, although it's happy to let you ignore it and continue
August 24, 201213 yr Why not buy it through the AVSIM Store? This helps support the site and the d/l is painless. Thank you. Rick $Silver Donor EAA 1317610 I7-7700K @ 4.5ghz, MSI Z270 Gaming MB, 32gb 3200, Geforce RTX2080 Super O/C, 28" Samsung 4k Monitor, Various SSD, HD, and peripherals
August 24, 201213 yr Even with my AV turned OFF, the download continued to be blocked until I deselected 'Enable SmartScreen Filter' under Internet Explorer-Tools-Internet Options-Advanced-Security group (last category). Don't give up, this addon is worth every effort! and every pennie also! This is one of those frustrating glitches that someone at F1 is just not taking the time to fix despite numerous requests from users and developer. As suggested, consider buying it from another source. JJ Jean-Jacques CYND, Gatineau-Ottawa Executive Airport, Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
August 24, 201213 yr I think most people want to buy from F1 because of their returns policy. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
