August 26, 201213 yr I hope Im in the right forum thread to post this. When you have amazing addons like pmdg aircraft and rex for weather, I find it kinda annoying that AI aircraft do as they please. They suddenly come towards you or across your path. In the air my TCAS is always going off for conflicts. This is ridiculous and far from real. On the ground at airports, ground vehicles do as they please as well including driving on the taxi line. Hello? There is roadways for vehicles. And why do they have to drive right in front of you. For this reason I turned off no crash for aircraft and ground vehicles because I have to run over them often. Stupid. Any fix for this? It seems like the ground service add ons out there are not that much better. Ive seen the videos on youtube. Just my beef that if you want a real as you get sim, then tthose kinda of things should be a non issue. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
August 26, 201213 yr Commercial Member Well you can turn default ground traffic off. I have never had such problems with Ground Services X, I recommend it. Don't know any fix for Default AI either...
August 31, 201213 yr Search a file called GCAS100.ZIP which adds a small gauge to your panel and works great. It will stop any taxiing aircraft in its tracks when you are near. I haven't noticed if it works for trucks on the flight line, but definitely stops the collisions while you are taxiing. Sometimes I turn it off to allow the world to continue until I'm ready to taxi out myself. Just click the little blue gauge to toggle it on/off.
September 1, 201213 yr Try "AI smooth"! Switchboard - Track Your Simulator Add-ons - Throttle Quadrant
September 1, 201213 yr Try "AI smooth"! +1 for AISmooth. For me it limits 90% or so of the Go Arounds I see without using it. Seeing you are a as real as it gets simmer you may not like when it shoots a aircraft in your way at the speed of light in a different direction. As for the ground traffic I have airport vehicles off as the only end up getting in my way and I suddenly feel like I am in my car driving to work in Atlanta, GA in rush hour. Jim Wenham
September 26, 201213 yr I hope Im in the right forum thread to post this. This is ridiculous and far from real..... I have to run over them often. Stupid. What you must remember about AI is the Intelligence is Artificial...The Stupidity is REAL!
September 26, 201213 yr Thanks for pointing to GCAS, didn't know any fix other tahn switching gound traffic off, and replace it with some 3rd party services. I've had my problems a fuel truck causing a great disaster because he thought he had to cross an active runway while I was cleared for Take off in a 747, and already started take off run. I couldn't help but running into him. Florian
October 4, 201213 yr Author OK thank you. I will look Into those suggestions. Maybe P3D will clean the AI up aswell CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
March 4, 201412 yr This is same what happens to me .. once I was off the runway and requesting taxi to gates and then when I was about to taxi the atc told me to hold and I stopped and at that moment a 747 came into me from back I could see the inside of the 747  A fuel truck crossed the runway and stopped in front of me ????? ANY FIX.... collision with other aircraft was off and I think when I turn that on the planes realise the situation and they stop when they see you..... any way????????
March 4, 201412 yr Simple and kinda blunt suggestion - turn it all off. This all is not working in normal way, never did. Plus it makes sim to perform worse.
March 4, 201412 yr I had a similar issue with ground traffic. I was using some software add on that had a push back feature. As the truck was maneuvering to get in position, I was restless so I just Shift-P and then started off for the runway. When I switched to exterior view, I saw the push back truck chasing me across the airport dutifully trying to push back. Even as I was racing down the runway, he pursued me. Only when I took off did he finally drive off (dejectedly I suppose). LOL Rob Marton
March 4, 201412 yr Hightowers, you might like to try this which works for me. Do you use FSUIPC? I believe the following will work on an unregistered copy, so you could download and easy to give it a try. When you install FSUIPC it will create a Modules Folder in FSX. Other than the fact there are manuals within that Folder there is no need to visit it. Start FSX and go to any airport (any plane). Bring up the menu at top of screen (press alt) and press on 'addons'. In the drop down list will be FSUIPC. Click on that and now click on Key Presses. You will see a box on the left hand side that says 'set'. Click on that and press a 'key' you wish to use in the blank box. This can be any key but must not conflict with a key in use by FSX. Now click on the drop down menu, and scroll down until you find a title called 'traffic zapper' Click on that and then click confirm. That's it. If you now have an aircraft coming towards you while taxiing or basically in front of you while say coming into land, just zap it and its gone! I appreciate its not the most realistic thing to do, but quite good fun!

I have to find it on AVSIM or anywhere else ?????? please specify !!
