Anyone getting any products/response from IRIS lately?

Featured Replies

I bought the Iris C27 a few days ago from their own shop on their website. I did not get a download link after I made the payment and the alternative link over my account that should redirect me to the download link in case this happens is broken. I got already confirmations from paymate that the payment was made and all.

I did not get any answer for days over the contact page on their website and also not over the email adress they give on facebook. Interesting to see that they have been active on facebook in the last days, so obviously someone is "at home".

But they don't show any interest to answer me or give me what I paid for.

I found another guy with exactly the same problem and also no repsonse for days on the net.

So I wonder if anyone else could buy something from their shop or got any answer at all from them in the last time?

Does anybody know a good alternative to the PMDG J41 or Iris C27? A Twin Turboprop that has about the same size and speed.

I have flown the J41 a lot lately but I like to fly with the PNW scenery and lots of rex clouds and heavy weather and would like to have an alternative with better frames...

The Flight1 72-500 or Majestic q 300 are the only ones coming close that I know of. But they are both a bit to big and also look a bit outdated in my opinion.

Any ideas anyone?

What was the email that you used? You could also try this. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes, thank you, that was the first one I tried (2 emails to that adress meanwhile).

I also tried the one they provided on facebook.

Still no response at all.

I also just saw that they updated their facebook 3 hours ago again. Looks like they have time for that.............

I am starting to feel.....**guess**

I just wanted to drop the link to their forum, but I saw that their OZx presence isn't there anymore.

Clem, do you know where their forum is hosted now? The link on the homepage currently leads to an error.

My guess would be that it's temporary. Like the Flightbeam case some time ago.

I was looking forward to their PC21 trainer.

Me too. I already liked the PC-9, which now is freeware.

I sure don't want to start a negative discussion here BUT...

I have not received a reply from IRIS or the many alternative addresses folks here have recommended - for over a year and about six e-mails asking for help.

I own six of their products and the only reply I have ever received was to the effect "no one else has the problem so it must be something you have done wrong..."

Maybe that is why they don't respond to me!

As for questions about the C-27 - this site and Simouthouse were the only place I could get answers to my dozen or so questions - never a thing back from IRIS. The C-27 is a great model but the release I got from IRIS was very buggy.

That sounds bad. It appears that they don't care much about their customers??

I mean if they run a shop they should also have the skill, ressources and attitude to keep it running properly. Otherwise they should should sell their products over the established vendors... . And just ignoring their customers (may it be that they have questions, or as in my case that they paid them money and didn't get the product) is just a no-go...

Hello, I also tried to contact IRIS without success.

I have installed the Tomcat F-14 and I do not find "how to " open/ close the wings?

Someone knows?

Thanks in advance.

Hello, I also tried to contact IRIS without success.

I am starting to see a pattern here.

Gosh.

Well, I think once there's a huge topic with complaints on AVSim they will either restart their customer support or run out of business. Its hard to get any worse publicity than a huge negative topic on AVSim imo

I've lost patience with IRIS customer support over the course of a couple of months this summer. First there forum links were broken and I put in a customer support ticket to find out what the issue was - never received a response. I went to their facebook page which is quite active and made a few comments about support and didn't get any response. Put in another customer support ticket about the forum being down which was also ignored.

At this point I'm putting IRIS in the doghouse and won't be buying any of their products in the future since they've ignored me whenever I've made the attempt seek some product support..

If they had a working forum the community would probably take care of 90% of the questions...

@ Clem Wu: Thanks for the good will. What is your connection to Iris if I might ask, just out of interest?
