The Canadians have invaded the U.S. Go to Fort Lauderdale, as just one example, and you can't walk down the street without bumping up against one of the buggers. Half the comedians in Hollywood are Canadians (I know, half of two isn't much, but still...). If I see another Quebec license plate here in central Virginia, I will probably be forced to go buy a weapon of some kind (or rent a Newfie).

This is because the American teams have all the best Canadian Players. When Boston beat Vancouver in the last Stanley Cup their was more Canadians playing for Boston then Canadians playing for Vancouver. Therefore more Canadians won the Stanley Cup when Boston won....

I always figured it would be Mexico that takes over the USA. Reality is more Spanish babies are being born in the USA today then there are white babies. Therefore the Spanish Campaign is working very well so far.

 

The best way to take a nation is not with guns, not with bombs....but your minds. Eventually there will be more Spanish politicians in the USA then white politicians. Not a single shot fired.

Spanish politicians? Mexican-American. My wife is Mexican, not Spanish, I met her when I was teaching in Mexico--she worked for Mexicana Airlines and prior to that, she taught English to grammar school students. She's been in America for seventeen years and has worked tirelessly in the school system here. In our home we don't think of ourselves as White or Hispanic--we're just an American family--and we only speak English between us. I can't speak a complete sentence in Spanish. I can trace my roots in this country all the way back to the 1600's. I'm proud to say my daughter is a blend of the best of both our ancestries.

 

If you're going to post in this forum, please stay informed. Throwing the label "Spanish" out there is offensive to Mexican-Americans. Their native roots go back centuries before the "whites" or Spanish arrived. And many Mexican Americans have been here generations. Not trying to start a race riot here, but my wife browses some of these threads too and I'd like her to think the people I call friends here are culturally sensitive.

Look mate....it is tongue and cheek. My use of the word Spanish is the language spoken and not national origin. The official language of Mexico and many other nations is Spanish and many Mexicans are multi-national as well.

 

Spanish Speaking people in America are from various national origins.....

 

In New Zealand the Maori call me 'English' even though I am half Canadian and half American and I have never been to England. their use of 'English' is reference to the language I speak and not national origin....Therefore I take no offence to it.

Hollywood needs to come up with something new. Plus, In a film about bravery against overwhelming odds, MGM's decision to change the villains from Chinese to North Koreans (they want the Chinese box office) kinda makes me shake my head at the silliness of the world.

 

I hope Canada had nothing to do with this dreck.

I liked the original Red Dawn....I would rather rent the original and see it again then go see a remake.

For Hockey fans on here when New Zealand beats Australia in Rugby it is as big a deal as when Canada beats the USA in Hockey......It is a huge event
