FS2Crew RAAS released

And it's fantastic. Adds a great little piece of realism to your flight. I've only played with it a little on a couple short flights but seems to work flawlessly and has a ton of options to toy with. Definitley worth picking up.

I'd be curious about how this improves on the freeware available in the library here at Avsim?

Thanks!

Cheers,

Alex

I can't answer that I never used the freeware version.

The new Airbus E comes with it, I have to say I find it gets on my nerves when I watched the vid.

But if it's a common fit in a 737-8 then I will think about it.

Is it a common fit?

I know Alaska Airlines uses it on theirs. I honestly don't know how common it is. I can tell you that's its not intrusive and has a miriade of options as well as the ability to setup custom profiles.

Yes, someone please do a comparison -- is it worth the 30 euro vs the free version? The free one has been working pretty well for me so far (version 2.0).

Is there already a promo video out showing a bit of the features? If not, it would be highly appreciated if some user did one.

There is a professional one done on their main forums.

Oops, didn't see that. Thanks for the HU.

Red fog. ^_^ I knew Bryan had a romantic nature.

$30!!!!! Come on seriously.......I'm a loyal FS2Crew guy, I have so many of there products, but $30 come on, I was thinking it would be like $12 or something.

I think it's worth it but that's subjective obviously. It's different to everyone. It's a neat little toy that works with every single plane.

$30 barely fills my gas tank to the 1/4 mark these days B)

This is highly specialized and complex software that cost us a lot of money to produce.

RAAS is not a simple concept. The original Honeywell manuals we modeled everything on are huge.

I'm sorry you feel it's expensive but like PMDG, Aerosoft, Flight1, etc., we're a business... we can't lose money or we'll go bust.

None sense. These things are simple to produce and should only cost unicorns and pixie dust. Maybe a rainbow or two. This is my first FS2Crew product and has me seriously looking at others. I just can't justify a USB headset for voice control and love my plantronics headset. To comfortable. Is it possible to get FSX to play out of my speakers and FS2Crew out of my headset plugged into the front port? Or would I be stuck with button control until I cave for another headset?

I don't discuss other people's products, but our strength is in power-options, among other things.

We took the Honeywell manuals, all one zillion pages of them, and modeled everything down to the last detail.

Here's the manual if you want to take a peak.

It's in the "OTHER PRODUCTS" section.

RAAS is totally different from the other FS2Crew's.

FS2Crew is mainly an airline crew simulation.

RAAS was something new for us. A nice divergence, as it were.

Your headset should be fine.

Voice control is generally way better than button control, but some people still like button control.

The PMDG NGX FS2Crew version is the current state of the art.

No no, I defently agree, every product I've got from you guys is awesome and I support you guys 100%. I just wanted to get it but things are tight now and will be for awhile but I WILL eventually buy it!
