VC cockpit how are views navigated ?

Featured Replies

Gentlemen,

When in VC cockpit, as I scroll up to the overhead panel the view orientation is slanted, and difficult to read far gauges and switches.

How can I scroll up and down in VC cockpit so that the view is not slanted?

Thanks.

Stanner

Stanner, Hi, I dont think you can. You will have to choose one of the other cockpit views for either the upper panel or the lower panel.

If you have EZCA the NGX comes with views presets, including straight-on views of the overhead and pedestal.

Hi,

OPUSFSX can do exactly the same.

Use the default commands in FSX to move left or right...SHIFT + ENTER / SHIFT+BACKSPACE as I recall.....then pan up.

And besides, you navigate the cockpit without these programs as well? Just press A and you circle the view from Pilot, FO, upper overhead, lower overhead, nav and 2d panel.

Or press A a couple of times to get to the console view, then scroll up. Similar to the pilot leaning to the center then looking up.

Hold Spacebar and move around with your Mouse

EZCA/OPUS if you want payware, or press [A] (or is it ?) button till you find what you've been looking for.

Or learn the cockpit layout. I make pretty much every operation in cockpit from captain's position, apart occasional FMC programing ([shift]+[3], but sometimes I just zoom in) and fire extinguisher tests. I find it much more cooler this way :D.

I solved this challenge with TrackIR5.

Yes, it is another investment, but one of the best I did. It will bring you on another level of flying in the VC.

Every dollar worth!

I also use TrackIR and find it very useful. One of the best I have made for FSX investment wise.

I am looking more and more into Opus though, as I have ditched EZCA after many many issues I can't really seem to figure out. Plus a weather engine, DHM, and view points seems like a no brainier for me.

I used TIR and EZCA then I switched to Opus :)
