October 22, 201213 yr Watching Carenado is getting to be a hobby in it's self. After years of one new air plane after the other with the same cockpit equipment and look and I now wonder if many of them even had different "FDE". Now comes the King Air C90 and the release of the B200. Now I know that many if not all the King Airs have a lot of systems that are common to all. What I find to be amazing is not only did this bunch at Carenado use many of the same gauges ect in both models they even duplicated all of the bugs and problems that were released with the C90!! They truly do not care about quality as we have seen for years. They now have thumbed their noses up at the customers and we all know who they are, who spent time to help others and coming up to fixes for the c90 and even providing a list of fixes for them to follow. Now the B200 comes out with all the same problems. Their products and just like the knock off watches and other junk sold on the streets of New York and LA. I just can not believe that we consumers still are willing to puch the "buy" button again knowing that the product is just not going to be what it should. Thank you This is the type of real info I was looking for I may not, yet still may, get the B200, but at least I will be aware of this
October 22, 201213 yr I just can not believe that we consumers still are willing to puch the "buy" button again knowing that the product is just not going to be what it should. ...so you bought the B200 knowing that it was "junk" beforehand?
October 22, 201213 yr Author ...so you bought the B200 knowing that it was "junk" beforehand? No...I did not and will not this time. I will wait for the up-coming Flight1 and MILVIZ releases. They have a stellar track record. It is not really so much Carenado's poor record as it is the slap in the face to their supporters who have gone out of their way to help them and still the same junk is released again. It is as though they just do not care. Dave Sorry you find the post to be unfair and I only wish I had the talent and knowledge to produce products for us on the level of Flight 1, Realair, or Milviz and the others out there who work hard everyday to maintain a high degree of professionalism. October 22, 201213 yr The FDE of several recent Carenado releases have been quite good, as they have been developed by the same person who has done the FDE design for the Milviz C310, T-38A, and F-15E. That is one area where area, besides texturing/visuals, that I would not say that Carenado has done a bad job. Shane Gavin
October 22, 201213 yr Think that was a very unfair post Shivers... If you let me know what aircraft you have develped I would be pleased to test it out for you. Dave Shivers9 comment wasn't "unfair", he was simply stating a fact. He doesn't have to develop any models, know why? Because he's a paying customer and that's what he pays developers to do.
October 22, 201213 yr Based on his comment, he had not purchased the airplane - so he is not, in fact a customer. I concur that it was in poor taste. Sorry! Bert
October 22, 201213 yr Based on his comment, he had not purchased the airplane - so he is not, in fact a customer. I concur that it was in poor taste. Sorry! Agreed! Would be one thing if he actually had it and felt cheated, but since he doesn't, he can wait for the next King Air to be released without the tirade. Best, Michael KDFW
October 22, 201213 yr Author Based on his comment, he had not purchased the airplane - so he is not, in fact a customer. I concur that it was in poor taste. Sorry! To be clear...I did purchase the c90 and by the the way....a long list of others that span many years. So to be clear...what is the minimum number of purchased products do I have to make in order to be a consumer. What proof of purchase do I have to provide? Copies of emails good enough or maybe PDF's. Since you sir have been deemed to be the person who decides who is a valid customer or who is a valid consumer would you please point me to the rule or section where you were so appointed. I looked all over the website and did not see where you two guys are in charge of the official blessing of the customer. Jeez almighty Bert...you are one of the people who work hard to get this stuff fixed for customers. You are one of the ones who they thumb their nose at.....more and more I see why so many of the old reliable names have gone from the forums here. October 22, 201213 yr I think it is time to chill a bit... If the people who purchased the B200 (and you are not one of them) are trying to make the best of this situation, I'd humbly suggest you stand aside and let it happen. You've voted with your pocket book, and that is exactly the way it should be. Bert

I am simply questioning why you would think that your opinion is ok but mine is not. It appears sir that in addition to your above duties as Customer appointing and now you are also in charge of chilling. As a member of this community I am simply asking where in the forum rules you are given this power and duty? I'd humbly suggest you stand aside and letothers have an opinion also. You are welcome to tell me all day long that you disagree with me but you may not for one second tell me that I do not have the right to that opinion. October 22, 201213 yr You are certainly entitled to your "rant", I'm not even sure I disagree with you. But I'm not taking the bait.. Bert
October 22, 201213 yr Getting a little off topic? I purchased the Be200 and love it. Sure or was not designed like the NGX or A2A, but that is not what Carenado is for. For people who have bought from them more than once they know what they are getting. They get the BEST visuals. Very pretty interior, and an excellent GA plane. The FDE is good as far as I can tell. It actually is one of their best I think. I am trying to find a way on my own to tone down the effect when flaps are deployed but that is another issue or another thread. I can name more than a few developers who are as you describe, and IMO Carenado is not one of them. Sure she is not 100% to spec, but neither is your yoke/joystick or whatever. It is all relative when it comes to Carenado, because if you know them, you know that Carenado=Eye Candy. Very good at that with good aircraft. We all know they won't win any awards for most realistic unless it comes to modeling. William Sequeira
