July 14, 200421 yr Hello,We are considering creating some high quality models for use in MS FS 2004. They would include both 2d, and 3d cockpits, as well as a fully functional FMC. These are the aircraft we were considering: RJ 85/100, MD 81/82/83/87/88, 737-300/400/500, A318/319/320/321 and 777-200/300 We would like to know how much interest there is in the community for quality plane models, and which one you would like to see first. If you have further questions, feel free to ask!
July 14, 200421 yr Hi,I agree with Brian. No one has done a 777 yet for FS2004. Since I am free to ask ;-), I am curious, what company are you with? Certainly this would not be a freeware aircraft. I am not trying to assume anything here, I would just find it more difficult to think that someone would develop a freeware aircraft with a 'fully functional FMC' as this would be so much more the exception than the rule. Since I am thinking that this would be a payware offering I am therefore curious as to what company this would be coming from. Just curious, nothing more. Now, I would think that if you really are going to do a fully functional FMC i wish to say a couple of things. First, I would not doubt if there will be people that will say there is no such thing as a fully functional FMC in Flight Simulator. Am am talking about people that want to be technical to the letter. From what I have observed it takes a very loooong time for companies to develop FS2004 aircrafts with fully functional FMC's, that don't have bugs! ;) It is certainly understandable as it is a complex task to be sure. Ok, I'm not a developer, so I woudn't know personally. I am just speaking from observation. With that said, what I wouldn't mind seeing is a really really nice 777-200/300 with a great 2D Panel and 3D Dynamic Virtual Cockpit. I'm sure everyone would welcome an FMC. But my thought is that I would sure like to see it without it taking a very looooong time. Perhaps the fully functional FMC(ah-hem) could come along at a later date as a separate addon for an additional cost, assuming this is a payware offering. If you don't take a very long time to do a 777 then you might end up being the first to market with such an aircraft.Anyway, I'm with Brian. A very nice high quality 777!Cheers,Jim
July 14, 200421 yr HiI'd would say an L1011 , but it is not in your list unfortunately :-(So I'sd go for the Triple too! :-hahBTW aren't you Korvar500 or something like that on AIM? (Alex?) :-waveshocky :-hahEUROPE UNITED"Can you hear them? my 1000 words..."
July 14, 200421 yr To my limited knowledge nobody has ever made a "fully functional" MD 80 series panel with an FMC and VC so I would think that would be the place to begin. If you built one I'd buy it. :D Willhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
July 14, 200421 yr lol Ed, my point exactly :-lol :-waveshocky :-hahEUROPE UNITED"Can you hear them? my 1000 words..."
July 14, 200421 yr Really PMDG are Kings of the Boeing range and I dont like airbus. So the lovely and characterful MD80 series would get my votePeter
July 14, 200421 yr >A Saab would be nice. As in the T-prop.>>Thanks.A Saab is already in the works at FFS (or Aeroworx, whichever ends up with it). I'd love to see a 777 if I had to choose from your list. If not I'd LOVE to see an L1011 or a DC-10/MD-11.Though, either of those planes would take nearly a year I'd imagine to complete. : / Darn patience.
July 14, 200421 yr The reason I mentioned a Saab is that the is no date, expected date, or even projected date, no nothing. THus if this group wants to make one then we would have one. Also, there is room for more than one, I hope. Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents.Thanks.Mark.
July 14, 200421 yr General Avaition! :)Dassault Falcon 10 or 50Israel AstraEveryone does a airliner of some sort....Just an opinion, so don't be too upset...:)
July 14, 200421 yr I'd like to see a high quality 767.... It's always been one of my favorite aircraft, and my most confortable transcon and transatlantic trips have always been on the 767. -John
