My main concern is UK2000 compatibility. I have a bunch of their airports installed, and if they won't work with FTX that might break the deal.

 

On the main FTX England site they have a few screenshots of FTX England with their own airports and with UK2000 airports (with and without background), so it seems that should work okay...!

"Boring". Ugh.

 

As for this "boring" stuff, I've gotten into this topic before relative to the various Orbx NA regions and I still can't for the life of me understand how someone can characterize NRM and CRM (or now England) as "boring". I get why some prefer one region over another, just not the "boring" part. I've lived in the US inter-mountain west my entire adult life and can only shake my head at anyone who would or could characterize such a diverse, fascinating and endlessly beautiful region in such a way. As I've noted before, I guess I should be grateful that more people don't like some of the backcountry areas that I do. Leaves more room for me.

 

Of course, if I ruled the world (an idea frightening beyond belief even to me!) I'd outlaw the word due to its being excessively, er... tedious. :-) Hopefully this won't be taken too seriously, (and it really isn't aimed at anyone in particular and certainly not at JvE), but I find people who use the word much are, themselves, often rather boring people.

So how do I make FTX and UTX play well together? I have the latest versions of Ultimate Terrain and Ground Environment. So I install the GEX textures, then install FTX and that's it?

The only clash may be with night lighting, if you have that turned on in GEX/UTX. That was the only problem in PNW. Someone detailed what to do to fix the clash in that case, if you'd rather leave those lights on. Suspect someone will do the same for Europe.
