November 24, 201213 yr Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I have had FSX for about 2 months and in that time I have bought 7 different areas from them...yes I was that impressed When I've had a Q or 2 I have always been courteous and to the point. Never insulted anyone Never argued with anyone Never dissparaged their products..in fact the opposite, I have always praised the quality. The 1st 6 installs went without a hitch. Number 7 was problamatical..I bought NRM and had issues with terrain elevation adjustments and asked for advice. A gentleman named Tim tried hard , several suggestions, even sent me replacement files NOTHING worked. In the end I was asked to post screenshots and directed to a tutorial. That did not work either , so I requested alternative advice. And that was the last time I've been able to log onto their site. Everytime I go there now I get the cheery message ... SORRY you do not have permission for this YOU ARE NOT allowed to visit this Community Now this has me completely non plused. My only crime (as I know..note the above comments) was to report back that the last suggestion did not work and asked for more advice. What have I done ??? I sent a request to the administrator for instructions ..one of the replies on their list is that Spammers are not welcome (I have no idea what that is) Another reply was that If you have been banned from this site you will not receive an answer. So far no reply ?? so I guess I may have been banned for a reason not apparent to me..appart from possibly that they can't resolve my problem and don't want to hear from me again. Has anybody had a similar experience ?? or can offer insights as to what may have happened. I requested another password in case the original had been corrupted and the bot gave me one. So I logged in again .. same SORRY you do not have permission for this YOU ARE NOT allowed to visit this Community Anyone insights anyone Rob
November 24, 201213 yr Rob I cant even imagine that happening but everyone has their limit with support available. Are you always using the same PC and ISP? ZORAN
November 24, 201213 yr Welcome to the dark side.. do not feel alone in your perception.. Orbx easily irritated, solution - get rid of the "irritation". ban the individual.. Seem to work like a charm for them.
November 24, 201213 yr Author zoran ..YEs and YES, like I said I have only had Fsx for 2 months and only learned about ORBX in that time. NRM was the only download that was problamatical and this is the only time I have asked for actuall support ..how can this be to much. I have asked other questions NOT SUPPORT ..such as to what to buy next and how to install it properly since FSX is all new to me. They always answerded promptly..never a hint or suggestion that I was asking to often ar anything like that flying_bob ..I'd be astonished if that is their attitude. As I've said in 4 weeks I have bought 7 different areas from them and planned to continue with one each week. Surely they would not treat potential NEW customers that way..or maybe sales are going to well for them to care. I am still hopeing that this is all some sort of missunderstanding and there may be a problem with their site..BUT ..since I get no answers to my email re reason why I an still in the dark 2 days later. So if it is indeed the case that I have been banned for whatever reason I guess I'll have to be satisfied with what I already have. seeimg SORRY you do not have permission for this YOU ARE NOT allowed to visit this Community seems depressing Rob

So must be some other issue since they came back with some other ideas for you to try so must be some issue at your end with the connections Rob this was the last post to your problem in the orbox ** Just tested the fsfiles link, and the "Select Files" button seems fine for me, using Google Chrome. Do you have another browser you could try with, perhaps? November 24, 201213 yr Commercial Member Rob, When you registered. Did you post in the validation thread as requested? I can't see a post from you in there. That is the most likely thing that has occurred. The security system may well have locked you out. It may be possible to post here: http://www.orbxsyste...idation-thread/ If so, a single post will suffice. If not Jay may have to activate your account, if you have bypassed this step. And no, people don't get banned for requesting support. Trolling, ranting or posting in an inflammatory fashion are different, but there are many forums on the internet that will allow users interested in that to post freely, so such users can frequent those.
November 24, 201213 yr Sure, I know Orbx does rule with the an iron rod, but, from what you've said, I think there must be some other issue causing the problem... November 24, 201213 yr Author Thank you guys for your continued interest...JUST TO clarify 1 thing I have only ever joined 2 forums Here and the other place. and last ORBX I use a slightly different sign in name to keep things orderly here its robierob at ORBX its RobertBob ..easily remebered with a slight variation. So if Pete can see my post that is indeed the one. So am I banned ? if youve read it pete was I out of place somehow. I thought it may be a log in problem so i requested another password and used the same username with the new password What else can I do Rob
November 24, 201213 yr Hope you can get this worked out! Flight sim sites can be quirky with customers, and Orbx is quirkier than many. Still, there have to be limits, and assuming that your description of the situation is accurate, it would be hard to justify a ban. Hopefully it's a mistake of some kind. We are all connected..... November 24, 201213 yr Rob i got a reply back from orbox this is quoted from them He's not at all banned, it appears he did not post on the validation thread and so the system caught up and locked the account until a validation post is made. I believe all new users receive an email or PM with these instructions but occasionally it is missed. November 24, 201213 yr Author Thanx pete ..I am always amazed just how helpfull the flightsim community is. I tried everything .. believe me Clicked every link, my usual browser is Google ..never have any problems here or anywhwer else and neither at ORBX for the 3 weeks or so since I joined since this lockout for whatever reason Also tried YAHOO, Google Chrome always the same cheery result as per the picture above..getting a little frustrating and my doctor assures me thats not good at my age  Anyway I realize that they are very busy administrators there so may have to wait a few more days to see if indeed I do get a reply and solution. In the meantime I guess I'll do my flying out of the unresolved problem area. Thank you ALL for your ideas and support Regards Robert
