Pete, was that pre-SP1, and you're now graphics corruption free? Have just 'wasted' a Sunday morning watching them all!

A lot of people who may have tried out MCE back in 2009 still think we only use robotic voices.

This isn't the case since 2011. We now have 5 high quality FO recorded voice sets (with a sixth coming in 2013). And trust me because these voices have to cater for various usage scenarios, they are massive (4600+ recordings each).

We don't like repetitive stuff, so you won't hear the same recording over and over for the same request.

Buying higher quality TTS voices is no longer necessary.

The voice packs are so big that we don't include them all in the main package (which is already a 500 MB download). They are separate free downloads.

Back on topic...

For those who are eager to fly the nice classic CoolSky DC-9 in a multi crew environment, I am pleased to report we have already started interfacing this bird. It will be complete voice control on a par with what we did with the NGX.

can vox atc be used in conjunction?

Affirmative.

Once you have the Demo up and running...

Open C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Multi Crew Experience\mce.ini

Look at the [JOYPAD] section

Change "UseWithVoxATC=0" to "UseWithVoxATC=1" ans save the file

Disable the ATC feature in MCE user interface.

When you hold down the assigned joystick PTT button, all communication with the virtual FO will be suspended until you release the switch. That way, there is zero chance of FO picking up your VoxATC related speech.

Don't forget to download and install the extra pre-recorded voice packs. They aren't included in the main package as it would take it near the 1 GB mark.

thanks for this, I look forward to trying it out over this weekend :-)

Will MCE be doing the new Dash 8?

I was wondering the same, hope they can, just tried out their DC9 module, it works great with the old girl!

I was going to get the DC9 but then the dash 8 came out. I will probably get it at some point. There's lots of stuff coming out soonish I think but I will get it at some point.

I hope we do get MCE for the dash 8.

Well I sent the support team an email asking if they were planning on interfacing with the Majestic Dash 8, considering the FDE is unique plus no SDK as yet, and the advised they will do it, should be completed in a month, 2 at most. That's what I call value!
