Does anyone have either the Germanwings new livery or the old SN Brussels Airlines liveries for the A320?

I couldn't find anything there! I'm guessing as GWI don't actually have their A320's yet no one has done one!

What about this one? Or am I missing something essential here?

That was my point Florian but didn't place a link for Germanwings or for the Brussels Airlines as these and over 850 other paints are available at Aerosoft and have been since 2010 ( for the AirbusX ) and 2012 ( for the Airbus Extended )  . It does require some work from the person looking for a paint but I have stated many times on the forum that I always seem to be able to find a paint even if it means searching page by page ( and there are a lot of them ) .

Thanks for being so condescending, but if you'd read my post, I asked about the new Germanwings livery (they rebranded earlier this year) and SN Brussels, the successor to Sabena which later rebranded as Brussels Airlines - neither of which I could find on the Aerosoft download page.

 

Best to actually read a post before slagging someone off about it!

SNB only had A319s so thought it was a long shot but worth asking. GWI do at least have orders for 320s

Ah, OK. I'm sorry, I didn't know there was another one, never seen that livery before, so I'm sorry for the above (sadly not helpful) post. And you're right, that one seems not to be in the AS library, but I think you can ask "Holgi" over there (or maybe on his website simtexture.de) to do that one for the A320.

Holgi is the most talented repainter I've ever come across.  And he's amazingly generous (he provides almost all of his repaints in both Clean and Dirty versions).     He's met many requests so if you head over the Aerosoft forum and ask him politely, perhaps he'll make these two specific ones for you.

Couldn't agree more! Holgi's repaints are top drawer! However I already emailed him a couple of weeks ago with a request - an Airtours A320 so that I can recreate the holidays of my youth! - and I don't want to pester him!

On the site it says also works with the A320 extended - can anyone confirm that the A319 textures work OK on the A320 extended?

 

I thought they would have to be different sizes etc?

As for the first question, I just downloaded it. I'm not at my simming rig at the moment, so I can't verify if it works, but the readme says:

Copy and paste the following text into the "aircraft.cfg" file inside the "Aerosoft Airbus X A320 IAE" folder.

So I guess it works on the A320. Besides, the screenshots look like an A320 to me, too.

 

I agree with you on number 2, there should be a noticable difference between the A319 and A320 - the 320 is about 4 meters longer.

As Oliver said, there's no point in re-posting all of this, but in a nutshell, it is a great aircraft unless you expect a PMDG class product (which it was never intended to be), if you desperately want failures (only SOP), or if you think that an Airbus is flown like a Boeing.

Yeah that's what I thought! I'm back home now so will try and report back!

Florian - I can confirm it looks great - it just puts the A319 texture on the A320 model. It even calls it an A319! Very nice too...more sterling work from Holgi! He's the man!
