December 21, 201213 yr After using P3D for a few months now, and having enough of my must have addon's working great... I'm deleting FSX off my drive for good. My favorate overall AC's to fly are the business jet's and I'd like to get a few more HQ ones in my P3D hangar. The ones I own so far are Flight 1 Mustang= works great Eaglesoft Citation X v2= cant get it to work :( Eaglesoft Raytheon Beechjet 400a= works great Bought this one way back with the premier back in FS9 and is one of my very favorate planes to fly. I just love the FD's with this plane, dont know if it's realistic but it sure is fun. Please add to the list and Merry Christmas and or Season's Greetings to all Floyd @ CYPK Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com
December 24, 201213 yr I also have Eaglesoft Citation X v2, and would like to see it work in p3d. Are you using p3d migration tool to intall Eaglesoft Citation X v2,
December 24, 201213 yr Moderator There are several reasons why The CX v2.0 won't run in Prepar3D, among which is that the version of SimConnect used in P3D is not the same as FSX SP2/Acceleration. December 25, 201213 yr Interesting, I had thought the Flight1 Mustang didn't work with P3D and was one of the reasons I didn't switch when I looked at P3D some months ago. I might look into it again..
December 25, 201213 yr You could try the XTreme Prototypes Learjet 20 Series, which costs $24. It got mixed reviews, with some people saying it's great while others said it's awful. http://20series.xtremeprototypes.com/en/20series_addon.asp <- Learjet 20 Series There are also freeware craft available, such as a Bombardier Challenger with full VC and just about all systems modeled, and a Piaggio PD 808 also with a full VC and good systems modeling. Others available as freeware also exist, though I find these two far exceed the others in terms of quality. A decent Falcon 50 floats around, and while it's far from bad, it's not great either. http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=Challenger&FileName=&Author=Richie+Schwertfeger&CatID=root <- Challenger 300 and the patch for it. http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=Piaggio+808&FileName=&Author=&CatID=fsxac < -Piaggio PD 808 and the expansion for it. Another thing to do is use the default Learjet with either the Learjet Enhancement which is freeware, or, if you're willing to spend $15, buy the Learjet upgrade from Friendly Panels. I'd honestly recommend the freeware one though, since the only thing Friendly Panels has that the Learjet Enhancement doesn't is an FMC, which can be easily added on your own, provided you know what you're doing. http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=Learjet+Enhancements&FileName=&Author=&CatID=fsxgau <- Learjet Enhancements http://www.friendlypanels.com/htm/lear.htm <- Friendly Panels Learjet Panel These all work in FSX, and we can thus assume/hope in P3D. Hope it helps, Thanks, Adlai

December 25, 201213 yr There are several reasons why The CX v2.0 won't run in Prepar3D, among which is that the version of SimConnect used in P3D is not the same as FSX SP2/Acceleration. Do you know if there are any plans to offer a update for this? I put a lot of hours on its airframe before leaving FSX for good, and rather miss this aircraft in Prepar3D. It was well suited for many unusual flights I would conduct, and nothing comes close to replacing it in its category. If none are planned, I understand. Cheers, Cpt. Thad Wheeler
December 26, 201213 yr Author Interesting, I had thought the Flight1 Mustang didn't work with P3D and was one of the reasons I didn't switch when I looked at P3D some months ago. I might look into it again.. I used the migration tool and it ported just fine. I've also got the payed version of the migration tool (don't know if this would make a difference) Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com
July 18, 201312 yr It seems some have the Mustang working well in P3D and others don't. What's the trick? I tried but have no VC and gauges are blank. I first tried copying all files over from FSX. I also tried direct install to P3D. Interestingly, when I installed VIA the exe file, it pointed to my P3D installation. Any way, just wondering how some have it working. July 19, 201312 yr Author Re the Mustang, I think it depends what version if the installer you are using. All that trouble..... when a simple "the product was not intended for use with P3D and is not supported" would suffice. Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com
July 19, 201312 yr Oh, so Flight 1 did something to later installers make it inoperable in P3D? Regards, Todd Harrell Computer: i7 3770k @ 4.6 GHz, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, GTX 1070 GPU, 750W PSU, 250 GB SSD (Win 7), 500 GB SSD (P3D), 2 x 1TB HDD, 28-inch Viewsonic 1080p monitor Sim: P3Dv3
July 19, 201312 yr I've spent 1000s on FSX so I'm not abandoning FSX any time soon. People love deleting stuff. That could be a mistake IMO.
July 19, 201312 yr Author I've spent thousands too. I've got it all working great, except a couple product's which aren't so important. Now, if it don't work with P3D it's a much tougher sell, which keeps more money in my pocket, and a little less in the developer's. I do still dabble with FSX in dx10 mode.
