Carenado C337H Skymaster - A few shots of this marvelous plane

Featured Replies

Greetings,

Time to kick off my first post here at the Avsim forums! I've been a long time lurker and have been flying the FS franchise for years now. Just recently did I get back into FSX thanks to a GPU upgrade & the Carenado Christmas sale that just happened. I wish I could have picked up a few more of their planes but sadly the King Air & 182 were not part of the sale this year. I ended up going with the 337H Skymaster and am very happy about the purchase. The plane is fantastic & probably the most detailed plane that I have for FSX. I will definitely be planning some nice flights with this plane in the near future!

Hope everyone enjoys the screenshots :p0502:

Nice pics, I also picked up this plane and like it so far, been using it around the new Milford Sound scenery from OrbX. My ownly complaint would be that I have no way of adjusting both of the mixture, or prop controls at the same time like with other planes. e.g. The realair duke handles this really well and allows right-click to adjust one, and left-click to adjust both, leaving the throttle control to adjust both by default. Luckily not so much an issue as it won't cause a balance issue :-)

Sorry tonywob, I haven't actually played around with the mixture/prop controls yet so unfortunately I am of no help there. I don't know much about this plane in real life, but do you think that both props need to run at the same RPM's so there is no disturbance?

Hi,

I integrated checklist for this c337 from www.aftc.aero with author permission.

Maybe interesting for you.

I have the C337 and it's my favorite non-pressurized piston twin. Great visibility from the cockpit and overall just a nice aircraft for flying one to two hour flights. It's a great aircraft for GA enthusiasts, I think and your screenshots show it well.

Thanks Pierre, but the link doesn't seem to work! :(

I think you described it perfectly John. The views are great, the quality of the interior/exterior is superb, and it's just a unique plane to fly in. I did my first flight in years last night with this plane and it was such a blast. The only problem - I can see my wallet getting thinner because I really want some new OrbX scenery now!

Thanks for the comments

I was so close to getting it during the 1/2 off sale and procrastinated so long that when I went to back to get it the sale had ended by a few minutes. I wish I had picked it up for 1/2 price but didn't thinking it wouldn't get much use but I regret the decision since it was less than $20. Oh well, i'll get it next sale.

Nice pics btw.

I picked up the 337 shortly after it was released and it's been one of my favorite planes ever since. Welcome to the 337 fanatics club!
